Seriously?  It is obvious Shepard is joking, and she realizes it too.  Yes this was already pointed out above.  Shepard's motivations are always somewhat left to the imagination of the player of course, but it is doubtful that Miranda is just trying to sleep with you.  She respects Shepard, she does reveal her insecurities, and Shepard accepts her with her faults, not as the "perfect hottie."  Is this the deepest romance in the history of literature?  No.  But it compares very favorably to the other ones in the universe.  All of which are somewhat abbreviated due to outside factors rather than a will on the devs to make all of the encounters emotionless one night stands.

As far as the engine room, no I don't know what that is about exactly.  Can't say I agree that location actually makes something more of a hookup than in another place.  Committed people can end up in lots of places.  She never settles for less than the best, and for whatever reason she must like the proximity to the drive core.  Perhaps she thinks it is the most romantic spot on the ship.  Who knows.  It is all speculation.

As far as Tali, you go there regardless of even recruiting Tali.  She isn't trying to compete with Tali, and you can't romance them both.  It would be cruel if you only did it in the engine room if you romanced them both.  That just isn't how it goes.

And to reply to another poster about her dossier in LOTSB it is quite possible that what she is looking for from the chats is someone with good genetics to enhance her chances of getting pregnant.  She only even meets one of them.  But even if she was using the site for "hook ups" that has no bearing on her relationship with Shepard, and in some ways is even somewhat understandable for a workaholic who happens to be employed by a shadowy organization.

Honestly it is somewhat amusing and ironic that people who dislike Mirianda comment that her fans are "distracted by her looks" when in many cases they have in fact formed a superficial judgement of her character based on her looks.  Not all that different from real life I suppose.

Ah...but is her resignation canon?...The only Sheps she resigns with are the Base Keepers who take her to the final battle with them....I would guess that would be the lesser percent of Sheps.

Do you actually have a direct line of sight to the little platform where they do the deed? I thought all you could see from those locations was the eezo core.

Hell, for all we know, it could be the one location that doesn't have any of TIM's surveillance devices.

You kind of messed up as soon as you used the word "canon".

...Thought about that as I wrote it, bad too damned tired now...though I'm still not sure if it isn't canon at least for the Base destroyers with a loyal Miranda....I don't know, I am curious to see what BW does with it, considering the percentage of players who would actually be aware of her resignation dialog.

I think Jacob has a nice view in the armory.  Take that for what you will.

If they do give her a "combat suit" and a "light/casual suit" for the normandy like they are doing with the VS, her armor should be like liaras LotSB gear (That dlc armor she got looked stupid) and she should keep the catsuit for the normandy. Bulky armor would not fit the character.

Everyone on the Normandy is just coping with stress because of the dangerous mission. There are no romances, just hook-ups. But some of them are particularly...unromantic. My Shepard never felt as undesirable as with Jacob.

Shepard: My room. Now.

Me: *cringes* That wasn't very smooth. How about a little flirting, first? To test the waters. My Sheploo handles this better than she does.

Jacob: *backs away in shock* I haven't looked at you that way! (Yikes! Did she just say what she did?)

Me: (What? Stars, what's happened? Only a few minutes ago she knew how to talk normally!)

Jacob: (What?)

Shepard: My room, NOW.

Me: *CRINGE* He doesn't want you. Let's just leave.

Jacob: Slow down, slow down. (Heavens, how do I keep her away?) First, maybe we'll have some drinks.

Me: If only the choice of humans wasn't so limited!

Me: *grimly* Why does it look like my Shepard is the only one interested?

lol yes! I was baffled by his romance. It's like he'd give you one of those valitines hearts candies that
says "Prize Pig" or "You're My Love Object". He's just eye candy for menow. I only go to the armory to stare/ogle.

I'm a woman and I like Miranda's outfits. The first time I saw her I wanted to wear it on my femshep. Her dlc one does makes more sense because it's protected and has proper boots for combat. It would be nice if squad
mates had casual and combat outfits like shep. I use Miranda's normal one for one of my femsheps. I use kestral arms and legs with a sealed suit texture. It's functional and class appropriate for me. I don't like the bulky over armor that's the default. It's great for soilders and vangaurds but I don't play those classes. I liked ME1 armor that
had varying degrees of protection based on class. It's really the stupid face masks that bug me.
