Just buy a ready-made computer...you get more for less money...
...and it works straight of the shelf....

No you don't. DIY is much cheaper.

To OP. Don't bother, keep your console and stay away from PC gaming if you don't know what you're doing, I strongly advise this, and before others start lecturing me, I've been a PC gamer for 7years. To build a custom PC, you either need to know completely what you're doing, or have a friend or colleague to help you, either this or be willing to dish out cash for one of those company experts. For the last seven years I've been taking apart PCs and replacing bits and pieces, but I am always learning something new. Even though I new everything about computer structure, when I got round to building one I came across problems I never knew existed.
Seriously, if you really don't know, don't do it. At the very least just buy a pre built from Ebay, but I would advise against spending money on PC gaming in general. I know of countless people like you who don't know much about computers and have tried to do a similar thing (Build a PC), and pretty much most of them failed, wasted their money, and went back to consoles. So don't.

OP only just learned names of computer components, I doubt this is a proper option for them.

@Ringo12: In what country can you get Stella Artois in green bottles? I've only seen them in the more expensive brown bottles.
That country would be google images.
Here in UK they're green. Most bottles are.
