You guys could do so much with this regarding the Friendship.Rivalry system. Plus all the fun Gag items for companions, like shoes for Merrill and Reading Glasses for Fenris.

I would actually like that, as it can be annoying to get 100% F/R when you get along with someone personally, but not politically (I'm looking at you, Fenris!).

Were feastday gifts & pranks to be implemented in DA2, I would prefer to have them not *give* friendship/rivalry values, but be *available* based on current in-game levels. For example, if Fenris is at 75% rivalry, a certain item and cut scene gets unlocked. At 75% friendship, a different item and cut scene is unlocked. For me, those items were all about the corresponding cut scenes and dialogue...that's what made them fun and interesting.

The resources to implement what I envison wouldn't be cost effective, but such are my silly, lofty wishes.

agree with the cat for Anders, with a wee cat sing to carry it in

but surely what Izzy needs is a years supply of Anders potions for her risky leisure activites

After I used the feastday gifts for the first time, i disabled the addon lol

Don't get me wrong, the items themselves are funny if you know about the companion's history and quirks but all they did was say either "shucks, man, thanks!" or "nice gift, you -censored-" not much variation

I like the Feastday gifts because they are an incredibly easy way to approval.

Let's see

Gifts

Bethany = Hawke Family Portrait
Carver = Amell Family Sword
Aveline = The Complete Rules and Regulations of the Fereldan Military
Varric = Crossbow Polish
Merrill = Scale Model of Arlathan
Anders = Stuffed Cat Doll
Isabela = Assortment of Herbal 'Enhancers'
Fenris = The Sword of Shartan
Sebastian: The Complete History of the Chantry - Unabridged.

Feastday Pranks

Bethany: Templar Action Figure
Carver: Magic Through The Ages
Aveline: Wesley's Murder Knife
Varric: Chest Hair Razor
Merrill: 101 Ways to Attract The Dread Wolf
Anders: List of Tranquilized Mages in Thedas
Isabela: How to Practice Safe Sex
Fenris: Tevinter Slave Collar
Sebastian: The Life and Lies of Andraste

Feastday pranks and gifts dlc was pointless garbage. Only good thing it did was get rid of Wynne by crashing her approval.

I agree, the game needs for sillyness.

And I suppose having full control of every character's approval for practically no cost isn't even a little convenient?

Think about it. The gifts and pranks are free from Bodhan's shop. And the items from Bodhan's shop like Thoughtful GIft are unlimited.

Plus 15 to 25 silver wasn't expensive at all for the non specific gifts and pranks.

Approval was so easy to get in DAO through conversations and quests that I could never see the point of the pranks & gifts.

The only way I'd like this implemented is if they actually made scenes for them all, unlike in Origins. The gifts were funny, but I was hoping for something more substantial.

I support this idea!

It gets tiring having to switch party members out constantly trying to get the correct rivalry/friendship values.

Dunno how people can have such a hard time with maxing out Fri/Riv.

I can pretty much max out anyone I want.

Actually, I know exactly how to max out friend/rival for every companion I just don't like having to switch out party members to get it. If I could go through the entire game with mostly the same party it would be nice.
