Hey folks,

Was trying to work on a  dress model and texture the other day, but a little snag came up, same one I had with  a kilt I worked on last year; the skin keeps appearing as a really wierd, washed out grey instead of, you know...skin.

Far as I can tell, theres nothing in either the diffuse or normal maps that should be doing this... is it something on the model? Is there a specific way to make skin stop acting oddly?

(this is all before and after the tint map is applied btw).

skin has to be in the red channel of the tinting mask and of a light "fleshy" color to shade correctly. is that so in your case?

It is. At one point even just stamp-sampled the default skin tone, still the same issue...

do you exported or cloned the model with the appropriate tint texture assigned? any chance of uploading your model with all the needed files so that i can look into it? would be the best solution... it's all wild guesses on my side ^_^

Pardon the delay in getting back to you Semper, been a bit bogged down here. Uh, sure. Want it up on the Vault, or directly emailed?
