Is it Spanish? I don't know much about Amn aside from what I saw in Baldur's Gate 2, but I thought Amn was an Arabian place, judging from the genies and magic lamps in that game.
Builders, what do you listen to for inspiration while building?

Amn is supposed to be "Spain/Portugal", while Calimshan is "arabic". Since Calimshan's not far south (Tethyr is in between them), Moorish spain seems like a valid choice for influence, so I'm listening to a lot of music from southern spain/northern africa.Tchos wrote...

With Amn being "Spain/Portugal", the music is appropriate for my campaign setting.
Are you using this kind of music? It seems mostly to be songs which is a very brave music choice for module builders.
I have used a song once Flow my tears for a key combat but never since.
It helps that most of these songs are in spanish so they may not draw the mind away from the game too much, unless you're Ark of course

I don't use music in my campaigns. Bards in Crimmor will play music however, so you will be able to hang out nearby and hear them play. And yes, I expect Ark to enjoy this (and really enjoy the swearing, which is in Portuguese...PJ156 wrote...

Heh. Well, I'm actually from the North, which had a Celtic influence and wasn't part of Al-Andalus. I'm usually not too keen on Andalusian music, but some of those songs you've linked sound good.
I'll gladly contribute with some autochthonous swearing if the need arises.

On a more serious answer it depends what the mood I'm working for in the area I'm building. Crimmor has seen a lot of Massive Attack, Portishead and the like because it's often dark/moody.
Then Crimmor is a must play.

These days I turn to the Blues channel on the cable MC. Occasionally I'll switch to Reggae, Jazz or Electronica.

Amusingly, one of the freely downloadable Oud songs is named Zehir. It seems to be a coincidence, since it's apparently an arabic name.

I try to go with the theme that my module represents.
When I was trying to do a strictly fantasy wizardly styled module with unicorns before the module corrupted and before you suggested to me that I save my module as a "file" rather than a .mod I listened to that song from "Legend."
Since I've been working on my Al-Qadim Module I occassionally turn this on to get me in focus while I'll occasionally look at Arabian art.
If I want to jam and take a break I'll listen to too much to list on here.

Right at this moment, David Bowie's Alladin Sane.
Not the best modding music, I might have to stop and just listen soon but it has tracks that fit what I am trying to do especially Cracked Actor ...
