Humans would win hands down. Asari and Turians don't really think outside the box, and tend to stick to a certain type of position in battle. Because of this the council rely on each other, example Turians are front lines heavy type troops, Asari are Special Forces, and Salarians are intelligence.
Humans are good at all those, and have divisions in all those aspects giving them more options. so the only way for the Turians or Asari to win would be if they joined together. Heck even if they did that Humanity would bring in their great diplomacy skills and get other races to join them.

Humans? Diplomacy? Lawl. Not our forte.

And I specifically said no outside interference. No other races. Even if I allowed it, the other races would join the Turians/Asari any other day of the week. The Volus are jealous of our rise to power because we did what they couldn't in 1/100th of the time, and are trade partners with the other 2. Nobody else gives a damn enough to help us.

Humans are very diplomatic. Seriously now, if we were totally warlike we would have nuked earth into oblivion. You want a good example? Krogan.

Real isn't depressing. Real is light and dark, not totally dark.

But it can be totally dark at a specific time. We have several periods in human's history. That being said, I don't want something depressing for the sake of it.

Turians would win easily. They have the most massive fleet, the most military spending, and the most well trained soldiers.

Humans and Asari aren't Krogans. They aren't so lazy and stupid in science.

They have scientists as good as theirs and they could find a cure. Moreover they could also counterattack with another virus on the Salarian people.

Yes they may beable to get the initial advantage but I don't think they'd beable to hold the ground they took.

Look at Afghanistan and Iraq (No i'm not one of those that say we are losing in Afghanistan) A much more well equipped force battered the defenders into the ground and with all the tech ISAF has they are still fighting in Afghanistan, yes the Tailban and their foreign fighters are taking more casualties than ISAF but still...

Now imagine if the Taliban had similer training and equipment how much harder would the fight have been?

Another point the Turians are rigid in there training but if you are so rigid you can also become predictable... Every Empire or major force that has exsisted on this planet has been beaten because they got too used to been untouchable... Heres a few examples:

Sparta lost its edge because they wouldn't adapt to Calavy fighting... Arguably the best damn Hand to Hand fighters on the planet were relegated to the history books because... They didn't adapt.

The Roman Empire crumbled because damn Barbarians couldn't bring down the might of Rome... Could they? The Legions were undefeatable until the "Barbarians" got used to their tactics.

The British Empire tried to keep to "Line" Warfare in the Americas... The largest Empire the world has ever known was first humbled by militas hiding in trees in a nutshell (Though defeat was brought about due to the French) and then our Armed Forces didn't learn the lessons of WW1 and were beaten back by the Germans though victorious in the end it cost us our Empire. The Americans demanded we offer all parts of the Empire freedom or they wouldn't lend us money, The Final nail in the coffin.

The next to learn one nation can't "rule" the world will be America. Though they don't rule parsay they are the no1 force on the planet by a long shot. The western world is going to be in for a long period of financial pain there is no way they will beable to keep half a trillion dollars tied up in Military spending forever...

Anyway I don't think the Turians would beable to defeat us utterly unless they changed their tactics to match ours. The codex says Humanitity's Armed forces are highly flexable and the Turians are losely based on the Romans who were beaten by highly flexible complete non-rigid forces...

I'll be quiet now i'm tired lol

The Krogans dropped asteroids onto Turian planets and probably enjoyed it. I'd like to think that we wouldn't vape an entire planet just because we were on the ropes.

Turians ,they have much larger economy than humanity does as well as a larger industrial complex. Not to mention they already have a larger military that is well trained and highly disciplined. We may have given them a bloody nose at Shanxi but if push comes to shove they would beat us in a full scale conflict. The asari while they all have the advantage of being a biotic race seem to complacent and disorganized to threaten the turians. Sure if the asari ever got serious they have the resources to create a military juggernaut but they just don't seem very interested in it. The turians can catch them flat footed.

They still use internal combustion engines for crying out loud!

Krogan are more intelligent than they are given credit for but with that said the krogan don't have numbers, infrastructure, or stability to threaten anybody right now.  That could change post ME 3 though.

Turians would be able to rally support of the other races, as humans are the arrogant upstart race.

Humans would suffer defeat after defeat until, as in all human stories, a leader rises from the ashes to lead the huddled and wailing masses into a glorious campaign of retribution and revenge.

The galaxies other races, leaders and populations will then begin to stare in disbelief at the rising fury of the human war machine and the undying will of the human race. They could not fathom how they suffered catastrophic defeat after catastrophic defeat when victory seemed to be in their grasp.

When the human fleets have finally surrounded the final homeworlds on those final days, the universe will recognize that humanity is ruler of the galaxy and that everyone else was but a footnote and a stepping stone to the future of this galaxies most powerful and resilient race: humanity.

At least that's how I see it.

You underestimate the ruthlessness of the aliens.  The salarians developed the genophage and the turians had no qualms about deploying the genophage.

Asari can live  for up to a thousand yrs, turians not too sure guessing 100 , salarians have really high matabolisum. Salarians arnt really war minded, turians have all the technology, and asari have nataral biotics in there nervous systems from birth

Agreed. I also would like to point out that krogan seem to be poorly represented in ME -- in my opinion. They aren't giant dumb grunts who shuffle around and kill for pure please (well, not entirely anyways). Most of them probably have human intelligence, and by the mid point of their lives (say...400 years), they're probably smarter than most turians-- the difference being that most krogan are killed off before they reach that age. The key thing to remember is that krogan, being carnivores, are highly aggressive-- so naturally their species gravitates towards more vicious tendencies.

I really would like to see more krogan like Wrex and Patriarch, who are clearly violent and strong dudes, but also quite cunning and fierce.

Also, it should be noted that krogans have been a space faring species much longer than humans-- yes, yes, they were uplifted by the salarians, but humans were "uplifted" by the discovery of the Charon. Technological leaps happen. The krogan almost wiped each other out, but I'd say that within 200 years humanity will do the same via WMDs.

In the war, the Asari would lose first. They would put up a hell of a fight, but most people seem to be forgetting that Cerberus made a poisen that takes away biotic power. If Humanity is under threat of being destroyed Omega-Enkaphalin would be deployed by Cerberus in an instant.

Since it is Cerberus it would backfire in some way, but the effects would be the Asari losing their biggest advantage. At that point all that matters is if they hurt the turian or human military more. Once they lose their biotic, 10 Asari would die for every 1 turian or human. Without their biotics they have nothing but a long lifespan.

Then it's between the humans and Turians, the turians would also lose their biotics, though that wouldn't affect their strength. They have greater numbers and production, but that is offset by their need to defend their vassal species like the volus, and a larger number of areas that need to be defended. They are also set in their ways, and will not deviate. Like Garrus said, when a good turian hears a bad order, he follows it. The turians will be fighting stratagies they aren't prepared for, making the war long a bloody for them. I would say at least 5 turian would die for every 1 human, if the turians are lucky.

Like what has been said over and over again, humans are flexible, but more importantly, we take more risks, and are more efficient. Humans have less manpower per ship, but none of the ships are run less efficiently because of that. That is because humans use more VIs, and in the case of Cerberus AIs, to do the work. So while humans have less ships, each one is run more efficiently than their competetors.

Once shackled AI is given to the human military through a Cerberus front corporation, every human ship will be run by a small crew. With no rules, Humanity's use of AI will give them a huge edge

Still, even with all of Humanity's advantages, it would take time. The longer the war lasts, the more time we have to implement our advantages effectively, and we can't compare to the Turian's and Asari's numbers. It takes time to mobilize for total war, and only when the Alliance is mobilized will it stand on even footing. While the turians and asari will produce more, even if they don't mobilize for total was, the Alliance will produce better.

Humans have a 30% chance of winning in the first 5 years, the Asari 1%, the Turians 69%.
If the war takes ten years, humans have 40%, turians 60%
If the war takes more than ten years, both sides will sign a cease fire with the intent to build their militaries to attack the other, starting a long cold war between the two. Humanity would win when the fighting started again.

Wow Image IPB... that was long.

Even if the Asari were a species that possessed no biotic ability, they'd still defeat humanity. Victory or defeat in wars would ultimately be determined by naval battles in space, where biotics or the lack of biotic ability is a non issue. In that area the Asari possess a considerable advantage over humanity. They've been a spacefaring species for millenia and as such have colonized many more worlds than humanity has. The size of their economy, resources, and population would all dwarf that of the Alliance. They'd start the war with a bigger fleet than humanity and in a protracted conflict, could outproduce humanity many times over.

Realistically humanity would have no chance against either the Turians or the Asari in a war. Of course since this a fictional universe humanity can always be given special plot protection from the wrtiers, but if we were to pretend for a moment that the Mass Effect Universe actually exists, humanity would be a bad bet.

Of course if this hypothetical conflict occurs a thousand years after the events of Mass Effect 3, then who knows? But if it takes place in the era that the games are set, humanity is too new to the galaxy to have any real chance of dominating it. The population, economy, and industrial output of humanity would all be much lower than that of the Turians and Asari in the era the games are set.

I totally had a Leroy Jenkins vid flashback. "hey guy, give us our survival rate and such before we start the raid", "ok heres how its gonna be like for us...[insert bs]", but instead of jenkins screwing everyone over, its the batarians that blitzes out of the blue.

On topic, its hard to say who is going to gain the upper hand. Lore-wise, Asari arent all that into an established military, more of spec-ops, so that probably means they automatically lose the the space battles. Its harder to tell between the Turians and humans, since the Turians have more dreadnaughts, but humanity is the only race to deploy carriers in their battle groups.

IMO this topic won't get anywhere, its mostly just gonna be racial-bias for whoever prefers which race and such. I mean, we dont even know what types of equipment the different factions deploy other than their space crafts. Although it would be interesting to see what armoured vehicles the asari/turian/humans are using in the ME universe.
