To be honest I cannot wait! as long as they keep true to the design, characters and overall 'feel' that the mass effect game franchise displays I think it will work amazingly!

I think if they do make it it will be spectacular, and I hope it won't have a set back as Avatar did, where effects were at top class and what killed the movie for me was the story and dialogue.

As for M bay directing the ME movie, I don't know he's good with TF's and he will be busy probably with TF4 as the studio made too much money apparently, so he probably won't be directing ME film.

I don't think it should be about Commander Shepard and it shouldn't be about the Reapers. Maybe the Reapers, but certainly not the first part.

I'd rather see a movie about humans discovering the Prothean cache, finding the Mass Relays, and going to war with the Turians. Alternatively, maybe the story of Gillian Grayson? Actually, no people would just say she is ripping off the Jedi in SW.

I thought it was going to be a First Contact War; such a movie could enlighten those of us who already know about Mass Effect (as we don't know too much about it) while introducing everyone else to it.

We'll see how it goes.

The only VG-2-Movie adaption I've seen that was good was none of them. The only one I've heard of that held promise was the Halo Movie, and they cancelled that. I fail to see how they could possibly and successfully transfer the story of ME1 to the big screen.

District 9 was pro. The director of that film needs to get back to directing Halo.

It's an RPG game based on decisions. They are going to have to pick a route, and make that canon. They are going to have to pick 2 squadmates and create roles for the other 4. Going over the events of Noveria, Feros, Virmire, Ilos, and the Citadel requires at LEAST a 4 hour movie. I doubt they have that kind of budget.

Without good script & director? Yep. But it's not a rule any VG made into a movie has to be crap. Comic books adaptations had the same problem but as soon as quality people started working on them, good comic book movies were created.

Seriously The ME movie could be a prologue to actually ME1 movie and it could tell us how it all began all the human Evolution and all that, at then maybe the ME1 movie would come out where it tells Shepard story through all three games.

If Bay comes anywhere near the movie, I'll start wishing Uwe Boll was in charge. After all, if you're gonna f*ck something up with excessive explosions and car chases, you may as well go for the master of completely bollocksing movies with unneccessary content.

Just because previous VG movies have been bad (the previous VG movies made have all been terrible choices in terms of lack of a proper story e.g Super Mario Bros & Street Fighter ) that doesn't mean that Mass Effect will be bad.

Mass Effect has a great story and setting unlike most other VG movies adaptions! If handled and directed in the right way it could easily be the new star wars!

Have some faith and don't be such a downer kiddo!
