I'd have no problem with spoilers if we could get some info on the core squad members for 3.
I remember, shortly after ME3 was officially announced, Bioware listing some requests they had received from fans about the launch of the third game. On of them was not to spoil as much before the game actually came out. I couldn't help but think "Really? Are people actually asking for this? Do they realize what that's going to do to the community in the months leading up to release?" And sure enough here we are. The make-up of the squad is what people are most curious about and yet the info drip on the subject has been unbearably slow. Maybe if we keep asking away they'll realize how central this aspect of the game is to us and throw us a few more bones.
Anyone else a bit tired of the lack of information on characters?

yeah they've been holding out on (I don't want to say everything) but a **** load of stuff. It's annoying but going off of what I've seen so far the game looks awesome. I'm still gonna be playing it the second it comes out in march either way so who cares if I know stuff about it now I guess.

I see your point.
The only thing I "fear" are the extreme fans going completly insane, if they know that their LI is not going to be a permanent Squadi.
Nerdrage can be very powerful on the BSN.
I don't think there's a force powerful enough in the known world to stop the extreme fan going insane or control nerdrage, well apart from Chuck Norris that is.
But what annoys me most is not the not releasing info because it spoils the story line they take, as i've said i don't buy it considering how much of the story they do release, its more the attitude which has to be deliberate of deny, deny, deny, or say we can't say just yet only for then when they feel its the right time they hit us with a whammo which basically confrims everything people said in the first place.
Like the whole multiplayer fiasco, whether your for or against it practically everyone knew why the game was delayed and that multiplayer of some sort was going to be included, repeatedly though we get deny, deny, deny or non answers because it spoils things in some way, only for the big whammo to come where they reveal it and then can't understand how this annoys the hell out of their fanbase.
This to me is exactly what'll happen in terms of squadmates, almost up to release, we'll be fobbed off with non answers, then it'll be revealed in some mag or something that the permanent squad is the one we already know creating a backlash, when the simple reveal much earlier would prevent some of that, like i said knowing X is or isn't a permanent squadmember doesn't have to reveal anything regarding the specifics of the story.
In reality would saying that most of the me2 specific crew would only be joining as temps but the stories and character arcs involved would do justice to the characters actually cause more of a problem, than just saying nothing almost up to release date?

I also fear that the dreaded conversation option of "You should join me" will be back to which your favourite character replies " I can't" "I have X, Y and Z to do" To which i think "F*** X,Y and Z., ive got a bloody galaxy to save.
I feel most for fans of wrex.
.
The fact that its the reaper invasion pretty much for me removes any way the whole squadmate joining for a mission and leaving to do something else once its done scenario can work.
Simply put no matter what reason a squadmember gives you for why they cannot come with you will seem pretty ridicolous compared to the fact the reapers are invading, Jack can't join up because she has some ultra important thing to do just wouldn't make sense to me for example.
The only one's who actually it does make sense for are Tali in regards to the migrant fleet, Legion for the geth and Wrex with the krogan, all of these could technically be rallying those forces to help so i could probably understand why they may have a larger role to play elsewhere, but since it looks like Tali may be a permanent squadmember then even this would seem pretty forced if that's true.

I'm okay with Bioware not showing any spoiler's but I do want to see the VS, James Vega and Tali in some trailers, I kinda tired of seeing Liara and Garrus taking up all the promotional material

My theory is that what they're hiding is that there are no returning squadmates other than who they've announced. Other than Garrus, Tali, Liara, and VS, we're just getting new people. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

A little more information would be nice. It should be possible to give us a few more char related details without spoiling too much/anything really important.

Not really. We still have, what, 4 more months to go? Plenty of time.
That being said however, I am curious over Vega's VA.
