Did anyone else find the final boss kind of silly?

They were abducting humans to build it...makes sense.
Looks like a giant ****ing skeleton...WAT?
The explanation EDI gave me was quite weak; I mean couldn't they have just made a sovereign looking one? This felt kind of anti-climatic IMO.

Sovereign was about 2 kilometers long.

Then I must not be the only who thought of this. Anyhow, I hope the final battle in ME3 is a little more epic.BentOrgy wrote...
That, and if you did some actual reading, you'd find that it was going to be a "Sovereign looking one." All reapers take on the shape of the species they're created from, then stuck inside the shells that we all know.

At least there was an excuse (even if you believe it to be weak) for him.

No, the Human Reaper was fine. And it was about as predictable as Maggie shooting Mr. Burns. This game is about 3 people fighting stuff on foot with things like rifles and handguns. A Reaper is about 1.25 miles long and has shields only moderately less effective than the ships in Independence Day. Oh, and they're made of adamantite or some ****. And there was no hint of there being one in the entire galaxy. There's a dozen very good reasons that one wouldn't be the final boss, and exactly one reason that one could be: they're the main antagonist. Which isn't that great a reason since we knew for a fact going in that this was a trilogy. IMO, it was many times more likely to have been the Collector General. That was a predictable final boss. The Human Reaper was intended to have been a big shocker... I don't think it was, but I don't think it's worthy of the eight trillion "LAWL GIANT SUPERMAN TERMINATOR ROFL!" jokes it gets.

I think you missed my point; check pevious threads for possible redundancy, and try snooping around the net before you complain, because as didy said, sovereign was over a mile long, and as I said, it was in a stage of development.
Was the Terminator wannabe stupid? Sure. Was the idea of and infant reaper being the final boss stupid? I don't think so; I've seen the concept art for "What could have been." and it was pretty fantastic. Its just unfortunate that they decided to be "Heavy Metal" instead of creative.
And at Rifeno: the Collector General? What would he have done? Just.... Skittered around the place shooting at us like any other Collector? Sounds boring to me, but it is funny; as the Collector General was nearly always being possessed by Harbinger, it would have made the final boss a reaper anyway.

Obviously they'd give him some badass abilities for the fight. Saying he'd just be like any random collector is like saying Saren was like any random turian pirate. He, too, was directly possessed by a reaper of course.

No you're right, I was being slightly sarcastic, but only because in the end; would you rather fight a, at maximum, eight foot tall drone, or a a fifty foot tall death machine?
Ahh, sorry, hard to interpret tone on the Internet. I wouldn't have prefered the CG over the triclops, but judging by the terminator meme I think the community probably would have.

Yeah, the interwebs can be tricky. Guess that's why we have these?
And the terminator meme is exactly why I mentioned the concept art earlier; don't know if you've seen it, but there's one a lot of people call "The fetus," and it was by far the better choice than the "Babynator." Would have made ME2 feel like Mass Effect again.
