I think asari husks worked like a tank of sorts, with really strong biotic barriers

Nah, that's a Reaper-fied Harvester (silly name).

Well it looks like those types of enemies are there in ME3:

One thing I've noticed is that all the weapons have blue lights instead of red now.

The Banshee might be the hardest enemy in the game. I will not enjoy running into them on insanity.
