Hey guys, I'm going to be purchasing Icewind Dale and Icewind dale 2 soon and am wondering if I can use my portraits from Baldur's Gate 2. I have tried looking for an answer on the web and have come up short so far.

Baldur's sizes are 110x170 for large and 38x60 for small, is this still the case for IWD?

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Yes, just make a folder called "portraits" & your picks in it... I have the GoG versions of BG & IWD but assume they all work the same.

In Icewind Gate 2, (BG2 files played with the IWD2 engine), PC portraits from BG2 are a bit narrow for the main screen in IWD2.

IWD sizes are 110x173 and 38x58. BG portraits can be used for IWD as well, but because of the slight difference in size, if you use BG-portraits in IWD, your character will look slightly chubby in IWD's inventory screen, as if he or she gained a few pounds on the journey from Amn and the Swordcoast to the Ten Towns (maybe there are some very good inns on the way north?).
