Hey there, I redeemed my code for Shale and followed the instructions

Its just when I go ingame, and I'm logged in, its not downloading or anything, I cant see it under available content, downloaded content etc, its not there.

It says here on my profile I got it added, but its not installing ingame.


any help?

Have you gone to Profile -> Registered game content and downloaded the Shale DLC then installed it on your PC?

The Stone Prisoner Dragon Age: Origins PC/Mac ---
This is what it says, I play Mass Effect 2 aswell, there I am able to download, this one just says The Stone Prisoner Dragon Age: Origins PC/Mac and --- where the other stuff says download

Okies - I'm a bit lost then, mine says that too but I have the Retail Ultimate Edition so all the DLC came on a disc.

It's worth checking your game again just in case there was a delay with the servers recognising your new authorised content, if it's still not there best I can do is point you to the stickies in case someone else has had the same issue and if that fails, contacting EA Support - sorry!

No problem apprechiate your help.

I also have a problem with The lost Warden pack, says Im not authorized to use it. bought it twice aswell I see -.- Wish it would be just as easy as Mass Effect 2 to get stuff working...

click the more info link then there is usually a download button on a pop-up.

I'm not sure what you mean by The Lost warden pack (Return to Ostagar or Warden's Keep maybe?) - does sound like there's something borked. Hope you manage to get it sorted :/

There's quite literally no link or option to access more information or download, just a few ----- where it is on other DLC, so sadly that's not possible in this case.

Ment Wardens keep sorry hehe, I accidenlty bought it twice cus i pressed download ingame -.- sigh...

Why am I always one of thoose who never get things to work the first time...

No worries :) On the plus side I'm sure if you explain that to the EA support bods it's possible they'll refund you on the double purchase.

Well I just had an hour long conversation with an advisor, nothing helped, and there was nothing to do about a double purchase..


This keeps getting better and better... Used a promo code that dont work, bought Wardens keep 2 times accidently but I am unauthorized to use it, got patch installed and followed the tips on the Sticky for that matter.. and no refund, I dont feel screwed over atall..

Give EA another chance in a day or so, you get muppets sometimes and they have no clue, but they CAN and have refunded double purchases. Offer to forward the dual emails and keep trying, because it can be done if you get a good EA rep.

Thanks ,will do that, I talked to 3 different yesterday, the first was pretty clueless and sent me links to threads about stuff that had nothing to do with my issue, the 2nd one said hi and didnt respond for ages and then I was told the session was no longer open or w/e it said. The third I talked to, tried to help me for an hour or so then I just gave up on it, but he also said they werent able to do a refund but I will try again to see if I get one who knows something.

Im having kind of the same trouble with the Shale DLC, it shows up in the active downloads tab and says its downloading but theres no progress in the download.....

I spotted this on the official support site, there's nothing concrete in there to say you'll get a refund but it does seem to infer that it's possible, as mcsupersport said unfotunately sometimes you have to try a number of times before you find someone willing (and able) to help, calling (if you're in the US) might be an option as it's easier to explain this sort of thing on the phone sometimes.

@ Zaguroth
Have a quick shuftie here first in case your issue is covered there, if not poke EA support and see if they can help.

Also there's scattered reports of the EA registration/authorisation servers being borked (possibly tied into the BF3 launch) so that may be part of the issue.

Im glad to announce my problem has been solved! Cant believe how simple it was in the end.

Had to go through 5 Advisors tho, but this one was really great, guess he had experienced something himself, since he had screenshots rdy for me within secs :) Great!

Yes, go to Documents ---> Bioware ---> Dragon Age ---> Settings.

from there make a copy of the XML file called AddInn.

Now, open the original Addin file with Notepad or similair (I Used Notepad) so that you are able to edit in the text.


Find this  (Screenshot provided by the advisor I talked to, I guess its ok to use here aswell)
Where it says Authorization ''0'' , the 0 will be 1 on your file, change that to 0 and your good to go, atleast I was!


This was the solution for my case atleast, hope it helps some else out there!

Aaaaargh! Not the edit Addin file thing again. IT CAUSES MORE PROBLEMS!!! Promise. It will mess up your DLC.
