If your are talking about your undersea tileset, I happen to use and like it. :)

Hey, if I do something placeable-model-ish for this month's challenge, can I use a few of the textures from your tileset, such as some of the coral, the sand, and rocks?  That way, anything I make will already blend into the work you've done.

I'm thinking some large, coral-encrusted stone archways, perhaps a couple of cliff faces that rise from the bottom up through the water's surface, maybe a coral-covered treasure chest.  I could even see doing a large shark cage placeable with a .pwk the keeps hungry sharks out, but it can still be seen through (and projectiles could still pass through it).

For me, this month's challenge theme has lots of potential for my imagination.

yes I am talking about that set, and have dusted it off and started working on it again, I actually realized it is 95% done already, just missing a few edge tiles and some texture work on some of the 'features' and 'groups', but it should be easy enough to finish now that I dont have a whole lot to do to it. it has 3 levels, low,lower,lowest and the ability to place reef,atlantis floor,buildings,all features and groups on each level as well...

Mate, you can ALWAYS use anything I do :) , I mean c'mon..half of my own PW uses your contributions..hehe

@ LoW The sunken wreck I'm submitting that SixThrice helped me with would make a nice group. How's about I try and convert it from a placeable to a tile group to add to your tileset? I could try and make a proper area transition bit instead of the awkward placeable cludge I'm using.

Absolutely Haelven, the new set is completely backwards compatible with the old single level set. so you could just build off of the old one, or you can send me the placeable and I can add it myself as a group..
BUT I suggest you still keep(submit) the placeable form as well, as I always enjoy placeables (more options in design schemes)

I'll submit the placeable and put it on my skydrive so you can make agroup as well. I'm glad you're expanding your underwater set as that's what inspired a sizeable part of my never-ending (Build wise) mod and the placeable in the first place.

Added later. Wish Peeps weren't so darned creative every time I scan the vault my mod gets bigger... :huh:

haha, yeah how bout it Haelven, everytime I get ready to introduce a new hak to my PW, AD or Zwerk or Six or some other great content artist comes out with some new great thing that has me postponing updates for weeks...then the worse is when they create something I never planned on using, but its too cool to give up and then I am up till all hours of the night thinking of a 'theme' or 'quest' to incorporate it!

so please oh please CC people dont make spongebob...well ok if you have to, but make sure squidward and patrick are in it as well...:)

Well you're guilty of adding a quest where a port is being blockaded and the hero has to find a way of removing the blockading ships. It involves getting the ingredients for an explosive to make mines, making a timer for said mines (Mini quest) and then finding a way of staying under water long enough to plant the mines (Three options). You then of course have to run the gaunlet of various underwater beasties to plant them, return, climb the lighthouse and get a very satisfying cutscene when the mines detonate and the ships sink. You then of course have to explore the wrecks to get a certain plot related artifact ( More underwater beasties...) and all because of you superb underwater blimmin' tileset.

but back on track. if I was better at animation I would tackle this myself.

take the "flying" pheno which is available in many haks, including cep
duplicate it as a new pheno called swimming
(which many ,myself included, use for swimming animations anyways)
and just edit the 'walk' and 'run' animation
so that the hands and arms do that in, out and away move, you know like not paddling or alternating left rights(like swimming above water) but syncronized circular motions.

Haven't the foggiest notion how to do animations so I'll pass on that. Definately worth a try for someone though. the fighting animations in CEP fly are a bit odd in an underwater environ as well. I think they need slowing a little to simulate water drag.

i suppose if you wanted to reduce my descriptive thought provoking explanation to something just *anybody* could understand i guess yeah, a "breast stroke" would be nice

Can someone make a three peice rod similar to nunchucks but threee rods like a little bit longer then nunckucks and then have like spear tips on the ends of the outside two tops.With like chians in the middle coneecting the three rods............someone please do that... :)

Anyone ever thing about just combining all these cusotm content months ito one bunddle because this monthy stuff is starting to add up and i see 2da lines being added and personal i dont know them all.SO this is a downside for me because i dont whats what when thinking about wellll.........do all the 2da lines from all these take differnt spots?Thats my confusion i guess.Do they?

Guess ill try to think of some script for a ring of water breathing.

Probally a heartbeat script to check random hour and make it like vfx the pc so he has a bubble around him for a hour but each hour the check is made and if it isnt made then the player will have no bubble around him for that hour.......Thinking about a small light flash right when it goes off at the hour.I guess it could be a bad thing if you hideing.

Other things probally to.Like a player would know when the time would swicth but thats kind of cool to have the ring flash some how or the pc .

I might like to dip my toe in the CCC... (It's a very pretty toe):P

I've never made anything (for NwN) before, preferring, by far, to take what I want.:D

But I might try making a whirlpool placeable.
Is there anyone interested enough to encourage me to commit?

Okay, well if someone is making a swimming pheno I'd definately use that. Don't know how to make them myself (or want to).

Vibrant Penumbra: Take a shot at it. There are tons of possibilities, and nobody ever starts out really knowing how to do anything, so this challenge is a good way to start and get advice/help.

SHOVA: Scripting is custom content. :) My submissions for a previous month (I think the theme was religious items) was strictly scripting for some special item properties.

@Vipre – The jumping fish placeable. I actually have this in the hak collection for Mythos. Nethy / Amala made it years ago but we have never posted it to the Vault as a separate entry. I do have their permission to post it to the Vault but I’m a lazy butt and haven’t done it. Anyone else interested in it? *Looking at my backlog of stuff to post to the Vault, someday.*

@Borden – looking sweet! I’d have to agree that it would be nice to have the boat as both a tile and a placeable. Don’t forget the portrait for the jagged door (love the look of it) opening. *winks*

@NowAndZen – You know you want to join in the mischief making. *nudges* Give it a try, most of us don’t bite. Since you can’t find the original work, you could coordinate with LordOfWorms (see how I just volunteered ya? *grins*) to create tiles within a combined tileset?

@LordOfWorms – Now see, you are making me want to stop building on Rome and go make some Atlantis maps. *Rubbing hands together and plotting.*

@Builder_Anthony (again) – Shhhh. You are going to spoil my Christmas present! ;) Yes, all the 2da lines are set up to play nice with each other. Meaning: 1. They are (for the most part – I think some clothing ones don’t follow this) padded based on the safe 2da lines that Bioware issued and 2. They do not over lap each other. So a placeable line that was used say, last month, would have a null line (basically all ****s) in this month’s 2da file. Does that answer your question?

*panting a bit* Okay! I think I caught up. Maybe. Possibly. Whew!

No clue what sort of mischief I’ll get myself into this month. However the idea of adding the Jaws theme music is tempting. Duuuuhhhh dunnn… duuuuhhhhh dunnnn... I tried doing that years ago but messed it up. However thanks the these challenges, I’ve learned quite a bit about how NWN uses sound files. Granted I still have much more to learn, but isn't that always the case.

I suppose I could make it a view of what's on the other side
but since other peeps are creating the  adventure how do I know what's there?
