I've already played through the game once, and earned the Medal of Honor achievement. I've been told this is what unlocks level 51-60.
On my 2nd playthrough now and I'm stuck at level 50 (this is a new career). Can you only reach levels 51- 60 by playing through a 2nd time on the same career? Or is this a bug? Has anyone else encountered a problem with this? Have searched everywhere on the net and I have not found a single clear answer so far...

Down at AdamTaylor's post he says "Once I got Pinnacle Station, characters could only hit 50 on their first run, even after I'd previously beat the game."
I have Pinnacle Station as well. Is this the reason why I can't get past level 50 despite having already completed the game?

Could be. Try renaming or moving the "DLC_Vegas" folder, level up to 51, and then rename or move it back again.

Hmm. So I moved the "DLC_Vegas" folder, then tried loading my game - then it said that it could not load my save because I was missing Pinnacle Station. So I moved the folder back, and tried renaming the folder instead, and booted up the game again. The same message came up, so I'm stuck with "DLC_Vegas". Any other suggestions?

Does it give you an XP target for your next level in the squad screen, or does it just say level 50?
If it gives a target, try forcing a level up using the console commands.

Also, try using the console commands to unlock the Medal of Honour achievement. You should already have it, but something may have become screwed up within your profile that hasnt unlocked it properly.

It doesn't show me the XP target for level 51, just says level 50.
I tried using the console command just now to unlock the Medal of Honor achievement - no effect. Yes I did already have it, but gave it a go anyway and it didn't do anything. :'(

I just checked it out for myself, and I didnt have a problem. Started a new career with a level 50 Shep, and immediately got XP while talking to Joker in the cockpit at the beginning of the game. This is with PS installed.
The only two things I can think of trying are:
- Backup the entire Mass Effect folder in My Documents, then uninstal and reinstall.
or
- Delete your profile, then use the console commands to cheat your way back to your previous standings. Note tat just giving yourself the Medal of Honor achievement wont necessarily work in this instance, but you can start a new game, give yourself the supergun and superarmor, teleport to the endgame location, and blast Saren/Sov into oblivion to get the "Completed-M.o.H" achievement.

Ouch. I didn't want to have to resort to such methods but I guess I have no choice as ea support still haven't replied to me after nearly 2 days waiting... 
Ok tried uninstalling and reinstalling - no effect - still not showing how much xp till level 51.
Tried deleting my profile, then reloaded the save I made just before the final battle with Saren to get my Medal of Honor achievement back. Reloaded my other career which was at 50 - still not showing how much xp till level 51. I tried reloading that career's earlier save which was at 49 and tried playing to 50 again to see, and once I hit level 50 again, no stats on the level up screen showing how much xp till level 51.
