When I went to trademeet, my map markers didn't show up for the area map (which I thought was odd). I quicksaved, closed the game, and now I have an assertion error whenever I go to the load screen. This is because my quick/autosaves are corrupted (missing trademeet map markers), and when I move those out of my save game folder, everything works fine.

Is there any way I can somehow fix my corrupted quicksave with a save game editor etc..., like transferring the functioning area map from another save to the quicksave? My last non auto/quick save is like from 6 hours ago.

I had that same problem a few years ago. I had played all the way through to one of the last parts of Throne of Bhaal while using only the quick save and then the computer froze while I was in the act of saving the game. My quick and auto save files were both corrupted and I lost my entire game. I don't know how to fix it, but I think the moral of the story, and what I have done ever since then is to save whenever you finish doing something that you do not want to repeat, and do so in multiple locations.

Someone more knowledgable then me might know of some complex way to fix this, but the way I got around it was by starting the game over again and using cheats to get all the items back that I remembered and then quickly skipping through the game until I got back to where I was supposed to be. Of course, then I didn't have enough experience to stand a chance against the enemies that exist in the part of the game, but you can use Shadowkeeper to set your level, experience, proficiencies, etc. to how they were then, if you can remember what they were.

If you are using Ctrl + Q then saving you may have a problem there too, see my post in your topic "My NPCs get turned to enemies (red circle) and won't change back?".

Oh thank god, I noticed I actually had a save right before I went to trademeet, I must have missed it while skimming the saves.

Problem solved.
