Looks nice, but it seems to be more realistic than even GTA4, so I'll most likely pass on this title, unless something major happens to change my mind.

I saw the Vinewood sign in the trailer. Could it possibly be in San Andreas?

No announcement for which systems it is? No approximate release date?

The graphics are exactly the same as GTA IV. After such a long time between each game that's just disappointing.

It's not like there are THAT many platforms out there. It will most likely be on the 360 and PS3. A PC version is also likely. I want to say Wii U when it is released as well, but not sure about that.

Was a tad dissapointed in the trailer.

The narrator speaks a lot, while saying remarkably little.

Did I just spy with my little eye mountains? And vineyards? Well, it seems Rockstar is mixing up a bit of Red Dead Redemption's untamed wilderness with GTA's urban rot, which is not a bad thing mind you.

Graphically it looks gorgeous, and a big leap from GTAIV. And I do hope the unnamed protagonist is just as great as Niko Bellic.

It is a graphically pretty looking trailer, but overall I was underwhelmed by it. Still much more interested in Saints Row 3 than GTAV.

I think I'm in love. I 100%'d GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas. I think I'm going to 100% GTAV.

I too prefer the wackiness & zaniness of Saints 3 over GTA 5's look.... a game like that I don't want it taking itself seriously and thus why Saints Row 3 appeals so much more..... recent GTA series have just been a bit too much of a soap opera drama mixed with some violence for my liking.

Slapping gangsters in the back of the head with an oversized sex toy in Saints Row 3 though? Now that's comedy cold. :D

:innocent:

Yeah, i am more into SR3 then GTA5 as well. The SR3 devs seem to be mad geniuses. Well, either that or have more LSD then they know what to do with.

Still, SR3 is days from release, with many trailers. GTA was just announced, and has one.

The narrator sounds like Ray Liotta aka Tommy Vercetti.

Correct,

GTA4 was just Bleh, and if 5 is made in the same image I don't want it.

I'm rather disappointed they kept the serious styling of GTA 4, because it likely means it will have GTA 4's mediocre gameplay. Using Los Santos again is also bad, I wanted a new city we haven't seen yet.

Looks great imho. Smarter NPCs doing more stuff, jets and planes are back, big variety of environments (more than IV), and the graphics, effects, and physics look quite good. The engine looks similar to the one in LA Noire, MoCap anyone?

Hell yes. GTA IV was a thing of pure beauty with some of the best writing seen in a game. Glad to see they're keeping the trend up for the next installment.

Just because the old games (and really just San Andreas, which was easily the weakest of the 3D games) had a bunch of silly **** doesn't mean they cant do anything else, especially when the results are so good. If I want silly, i've got Saints Row. GTA doesn't need to be silly any more.

I could never take GTA4's narrative seriously.

It's gameplay and it's narrative undermine each other so thoroughly i was left with the vauge suspicion they were designed by two different developers.

I agree, GTA IV was darker, more serious, more realistic (well, in comparison), and more mature than all the predecessors. Plus it had some of the best characters, (Niko Bellic will go down in gaming history). IV was actually a very philosophical game, looking at various issues of American society, like crime, poverty, and illegal immigration. You're 100% right about comparing it to the OTT Saints Row. I personally think GTA IV was the best, and I hope RockStar keep a similar formula.

I just hope they don't make it similar to TBOGT, that was just awful.

San Andreas! Yes! I'm home Grove Street. I hope it's still there at least.

Where's my ambiguous main character and my female character customization?

If they really wanted, which it's clear they don't, to get people who play Saints Row to play their game... They would have made this a priority. And this is why, I will never play a GTA game.

You won't play a sandbox game with a defined male character who fits into the story? Right.
