It cuts down on piracy to wait until after release. Same with Ubisoft.

It also cuts down on sales...

True. The question is which one wins out.

GTA V cvg review

They had me at "better than GTA IV". That game was trash.

It improves load times on the system that needs it.

I always do. Really improves the game most of the time.

But this time its not recommended it seems. Only the install disc.

Never noticed an improvement in that area with the few discs I did install. Figured it was pointless so I stopped.

Absolutely. Speeds up load times and, in a few cases, mildly enhances graphical performance, as well as letting the machine run more quietly.

Some I delete after finishing, but a few others---mostly free-roam games---stay on the machine.

Seems like a fair review, seriously.  I can relate to the writer's view, playing as Niko Bellic I enjoyed the banter between him and other NPCs, I even felt sympathetic to the character; a guy with an ugly past that just wants to have a normal life but through nasty twists gets dragged into a dark and murky underworld of crime.  I actually liked the character.

These guys sound just like the kind of "protagonists" that I'll feel absolutely nothing for whether they're successful or failures, live or die.  In fact I'd probably be leaning more towards wanting them to die.  There are absolutely no redeeming qualities about them, they might as well just be the villains.

So essentially, according to him, they are like the mute protagonist of GTA III then? I kinda got the feeling that at least some of the protagonists would be Walter White-villainy. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. Guess I'll see how it is handled myself soon.

I hate how people are reacting to reviews anything lower than a 10 and they get swarmed with hate.

Well i really like to see the reaction when Quarter To Three reviews it and probably gives it between 4-6/10 just for the fun of people rages to troll reviews.

Well, I'm always suspicious about 10-reviews. Some sites, however, make the distinction that a 10/10 is still not a perfect game but close.

I anticipate a lot of tens for a series as well-known as GTA.

And none of them will really be deserved.  Nothing made by mortal hands is without flaw of any kind.

It's tragic how they do this when they haven't even got the game yet and just assume that it'll be great

Nothing beats 10/5 star player reviews on games that are basically "I can't wait to play this game!!! I AM EXCITE."

Yeah i predict that GTA 5's main flaw will be either extremely long tutorials (all those features need to be taught somehow) or since the world is massive a humongous amount of bugs.

Yes.  Because when a reviewer gives a game a 10/10, they mean it has no flaw of any kind, and not that they may simply believe it to be the best of its genre.

Then I would say they use an incorrect scale.  10/10 or 5/5 or 100% implies completion, perfection, a place where there can be no improvements which is simply not true for anything made by mortals.

The numerical grading system in itself is a flawed thing.
