Not this again.... Contray to what people like to beleive, watching a whole playthrough still means you can judge the game. People where fine when people did this with ME3, but do that with GTAV? OMG NO.

Games are meant to be played not watched.  Yes both ME and GTA have a lot of cinematic features to them but in the end of the day you get the most out of them by playing them.  If I want to just watch stuff I go to a movie theater or I rent a movie.

I've never said anything about the gameplay because I can't judge that(driving and gunplay, I can however praise the gameworld and not praise the writing, characters and horrible final missions. I do not need to play the game to judge that when I watched a very in-depth playthorugh from start to finish with lots of activies done too. The gameworld is amazing, that is overshadowed and nothing will change that for me.

I had a lot more fun with the Tennis and Golf than I thought I would because I actualy played those activities.  When I first heard about them I was kind of meh on it but when I played them I found them to be quite fun.

Good for you, but guess what? I'm not you and pleased easily.

You do know that nowadays people watch LPs and reviews to see if they wanna buy the game right?

There are these things called demos or you can borrow a game from a friend.   At best watching an LP will give you a limited perspective of what the game is like.

And what the hell is that supposed to mean?  That is the problem with people like you.  You are so damn pretentious and stuck up you think you are better than anyone that likes something you don't.

A demo gives you more a less limited view then a full LP? Oh wow

Yes because you actually experiencing the gameplay, mechanics, and features when you are actualy playing a game as opposed to watching someone else play a game who most likely has a different playstyle than you do anyway.

And some people do that too, but that doesn't mean LPs stop people from buying the game

Watching an LP just doesn't seem as time efficient.

I'm not even criticizing or praising the gameplay, in case the last twenty times saying that went over your head. I'm looking at the game world, it's writing, it's cast and mission design including the design of the final mission(sp) you do not need to play the game to judge that.

Fair enough just admit that without experiencing the gameplay you are only getting a limited perspective on the game as a whole.  A game can have mediocre writing and still be a hell of a lot of fun to play.

Regarding Jack Nicholson as Grumpy cat, otherwise known as Trevor, I killed him, then found out Deathwish had a better ending.

Nope, A's the better ending. Should also be canon and next game should talk how Trevor became Mr.Crispy.

man there's no way GTAV is the size of RDR GTAIV and SA together. id say GTAV land size is roughly 75 Km ² ! (without the water)

Not that big actually. it<s roughly the size of RDR. Altis in Arma 3 is 270 Km ²

Yeah the world just feels small you can go all the way around the edge of the map in 20 min's. While it is bigger than RDR the speed difference between a horse and a car needs to be took into account.

I've read a lot about misogyny in this game and have a question for those that played. Is this misogyny supposed to be a satire like some say or just pandering to supposed target audience (who's, judging from response to Gamestop's reviewer, actually very misogynistic)?

It is hard to tell some of it comes across as satire michael's daughter and wife in particular is hilarious but some bits like the druggy woman friend of Franklin is quite bad. There is not as single woman in the game that i would call likeable or relatable. They are all drug addicts, ****s, strippers or prostitutes. There is one woman who came close to being normal but towards the end she lost all depth and turned full retard. It is just hard to tell if they are jokeing or not at times.

You should give the Life Invader profiles in the game a look then. Give some nice background and current info on the characters as well

I don't care too much for Trevor, but I still preferred the C ending -- It simply fulfills the spectrum of your standard colourful GTA-ending like in Vice City, or San Andreas, where everything works out in the end. It's a nice change of pace on top of all that brown, edgy mess that we seem to get from most games nowadays -- Certainly a nice change from the brown & grayness that was Niko Bellic's entire story.

I liked Mary Ann... :?

But I'd say satire. I expect that alot of people entered GTA actively looking for sexism (among other things), which is a pretty sure-fire way to see it all over the place whether it actually exists or not.
