Golf and tennis didn't show for me initially. I'm not quite sure why.. but when I joined other games they were available. If you still don't see it after hopping around a bit, perhaps it's level locked? I'm not sure to be honest.

Another boss thing about golf- even if you lose, you still get exp based on how well you did.

So that girl I beat in golf who ended up with -3? She got a load of exp for doing that well.

Currently not working on the PS3 at all - Cloud servers are down. Don't know if it's same for anyone else? I managed to get in a few hours ago.

After getting stuck on the initial race mission about a half-dozen times, I managed to get in around the early afternoon yesterday, and luckily the lag was almost nonexistent. After playing quite a bit in deathmatches, races, missions, hold-ups, etc., my verdict is: It's mediocre at best.

Yes right now it kind of meh .. It get boring quite fast, Haven,t played mission though.

Online = suck. Character keeps getting deleted, failed to host, etc. Damn shame cause I was looking forward to this. I understand there will be bugs/glitches, but it's unplayable. Wonder when it'll be fixed enough...they should have delayed the online portion longer than what they did.

There are actual missions, but you get them through your phone, and after you complete it, while you CAN replay it to get more RP, cash, etc etc, the other options available are as you said, races, deathmatches, etc etc.

So just wait to get missions on your phone, those will be the ones that are good, especially with friends.

For example, me and a buddy were just doing a mission to blow up some cars in Vagos territory, but we ran into some of the gang.

He died after killing nine guys, and we ran out of respawns, so I had to finish myself.

I went through 27, blew up the five or so cars, then had to hunt down the gang leader, who rather comically, drowned himself before I got to him.

Yup! I know that there are a couple actual mission ones but they seem to be only a handful.. unfortunately, those are the best ones for me too haha. I think they are adding in heists later on, right?

I spent the last 3 hours running around in a bathing and a pig mask with 4 other girls, robbing banks in a helicopter. So. much. fun.

I think in order to plan a heist you need to own a home.

Me and a friend are helping each other build up some cash so we can afford a cheap place, then we can go over to it and start planning. He's got around 70K, I've got around 40K. You can only share 5K a day with another player, so unfortunately pooling cash isn't gonna work, and I can't remember how much the cheapest place to live in is, but I think we agreed on a place thats about 99K, or one slightly higher.

End goal is to get the apartment thats 400K. But for that? Heists. Heists or spending real life money on in-game money, but C'MON.

Ooh.. I'm really crappy with my money so please do update about house perks when you buy one. Seems like you'll be able to quite soon!

I don't need to. Once you reach level whatever, you can start looking at property(I think). It might actually be really early.

There are some places with 2 car garages(the cheap places), there are some with 6 car garages(the good ones), and then I think the top of the line ones have 10 car garages(because why not).

Then there are actual garages you can get yourself for more storage.

After a smooth first day, I have finally encountered problems with GTA Online. After trying to connect to the "cloud server" off-and-on for a good hour and a half, I finally made it in; only to find out that my character had been eaten by the GTA Online monster. I had to start from the bottom after getting to level 10. How fun.

Despite all that, I will willingly put up with this nonsense to play it. I have never had this much fun in my gaming life.

At least you can actually get in a game.

I don't think there is any fear of losing characters anymore. The servers seem to be alot more stable now. Also, leveling seems to go real fast. Started last evening and now already 17.

Well, it depends what you're doing to level up. Solo-golf is pretty fast. Then there's missions.
