I always thought the GTA games before IV did have a pretty good balance between serious and fun. GTA IV seemed to lean too much towards serious and sacrificed what was fun about the story and gameplay.

As true as that might be to some extent though, i personally loved GTA IV's story.....you could tell Rockstar really amped up the cinematic presentation of it all, and Niko became a character that i actually wanted to see what would happen next with. Despite some annoyances with an extreme bowling freak however, i just felt as a whole it was the best one yet.

This information comes from Eurogamer Portugal, so theres no point posting a link as you wouldn't understand it anyway, but through google translate it basically says that

Zavvi was given a release date of November 23rd for GTAV by their provider.

 Whatever they do with the fifth GTA I hope that they do something frehs with it because  GTAIV just  was just so dull. Same old GTA formula just with fancy new graphics. I hope GTA V will not be like that.

What I'm wondering is if the gameplay will be realism based like GTA4 will, or if they'll go back to a more wacky formula like GTTA VC or GTA SA. That would be the deciding factor in me getting it or not.

It's HD gaming, it has better resolution than the real world!

I am obviously excited about this. I hadn't read where the game was supposed to take place, but it is fairly obvious from the screenshots.
