I downloaded & installed, I started DA2, logged on and began where I left off (end of Mark of the Assassin), and game journal shows it is there and marked as active quest, but when I leave Hawkes house, I have nowhere to go...even though it says to meet Seb. at the chantry. Is there a trick to making this addon work?

I completed DA2 and Mark of the Assassin. These add on quests are not suppose to make you start a new game and the instructions say start a new game or load an existing one. Having completed DA2 it would be no fun to start over fresh again from the beginning.

"The Exiled Prince" is different from "Legacy" and "MotA". The trigger isn't in Hawke's house, but in the Chantry Courtyard. So Moondoggie is correct, you'll need to re-play, at least from a point before that location is no longer available. (Not sure if you can do it ANY time before the Final battle, since I have the SE, which had included Sebastian from day-one.)
