I just decided to log onto facebook to see if I got a message from my friend and I noticed that Bioware was given codes for Gears of War DLC.
I knew there was a reason I liked Gears of War.
I have to be honest, if I hadn't already played Gears of War, this news would actually sway me to at least check it out.

Nothing. As much as you can say he's "showman/cocky" etc, when he's fanboying for some game he's particulary excited about, he won't shut up about it. No payment necessary to make him talkstring3r wrote...
I wonder how much Bioware payed him.

It's nice to see that he is into ME.
I think he really enjoyed the demo. A true gamer-developer wouldn't sell himself for a few bucks.
well, maybe he would. but not cliff blechsnisky. He's the real thing.

Instead of doing a "See, the Gears of War guy likes it. So you should too!", shouldn't Mass Effect 3 be more marketed as it's own thing? Like a Shooter/RPG? You know, like how Uncharted is advertised as an adventure game/shooter? Instead of being marketed to try and grab a different market from a different series as the objective?
I'm just saying, as is, ME3 is more of being marketed as "Shooter just like other shooters", and not "Shooter like no other shooter".

No offense, marketing, but this "trying to get the shooter crowd" is becoming more apparent.

when a guy like this is offering you to promote your game, are you gonna say no?

Depends, did he ask to be used for marketing, or did "they" ask?

Oh I quite agree.
Bioware should have turned their noses up and shown utter disdain. Then they should have called Reginald, their man servant, to escort him away from the booth. Such unwashed rabble is not welcome at the rpg table.

Eh, that statement would have more weight if Cliff didn't specifically call out how it's a shooter/RPG hybrid, which it has been since ME1.

I'm just saying they shouldn't walk up to him while he's playing the Mass Effect 3 demo, and say "Hey, any chance you can advertise for us? We kind of need your Gears of War audience, and fear they might not buy our game".

Oh he said RPG hybrid? Did I see anything to give an example of that? Or explosions next to a line with not much weight to it.
You clearly missed my point.

Seriously?
Belszinski ( a big name in the business) likes your product. Says so publicly. So you would be respond: "No thanks buddy. Your not really the type of player we want. Please go away."
Do yourself a favor, never get into business.

Again, did Cliff want to advertise and Bioware said yes, or did Bioware go to him to advertise?

Listen to what he SAYS in less than one minute:
"The Mass Effect Demo is beautiful."
"It's one of the more deep shooter/RPG games I have played."
"I think Commander Shepard is one of the best iconic characters in video game history."
