If only there are gamer's like Cliff who praise's other games and not only his own franchise

What is this quote supposed to prove?

It's supposed to "prove" that the game is being converted into a run and gun shooter, therefore giving the author the right to swallow more bitter pills.

No offense, marketing, but this "trying to get the shooter crowd" is becoming more apparent.

Instead of doing a "See, the Gears of War guy likes it. So you should too!", shouldn't Mass Effect 3 be more marketed as it's own thing? Like a Shooter/RPG? You know, like how Uncharted is advertised as an adventure game/shooter? Instead of being marketed to try and grab a different market from a different series as the objective?

I'm just saying, as is, ME3 is more of being marketed as "Shooter just like other shooters", and not "Shooter like no other shooter".

Eh, that statement would have more weight if Cliff didn't specifically call out how it's a shooter/RPG hybrid, which it has been since ME1.

Oh he said RPG hybrid? Did I see anything to give an example of that? Or explosions next to a line with not much weight to it.

You clearly missed my point.

To be honest, I think his GF dragged him to our booth at San Diego Comic Con. While he was there, after they had both played teh demo, he offered to leave the video feedback.

The BSN hates most everything since the release of ME2.

Well since it had similar combat to the Gears franchise everyone in BSN started to hate Gears of war in particular

That's really neat. It's always nice to hear compliments from competitors/respected members of your industry. Kudos BW.
BW reminds us they are gamers too; it would be nice to hear what games they are anticipating, much like Cliff did for ME3.

Thank god. The combat was the only thing that needed improvement in ME. They've nailed the characters, choices, story and interaction, the combat was the only stuff that needed improvement.

The only mistake Cliff ever made in the GoW franchise was the Sawn-Off. The man knows how to make a damn good game. Praise from him is great indeed.

Thats pretty disgraceful. He is one of the best new developers in the industry and he openly praised a series we all enjoy. And people are insulting him for it. Pathetic.

That's going a little too far. I'll be the first to say ME2 was a HUGE fail in this area, but ME3 seems to have brougt back at least some RPG elements, so we're not AS bad off.

EVERY rpg has combat. It might as well be good.

Well, if he actually did put out the offer, then I got less to complain about.

However, that doesn't change that ME3 seems more of being advertised as a Resistance/Gears of War/Save Earth from Aliens clone, while aiming more towards the shooter market.

When are we going to see class vids?

When are we going to see character vids?

When are we going to see vids on the story?
