Problem is that most of ME2 marketing is very spoilerific and Bioware has The Old Republic to sell this time around.

Also marketing ME3 during Skyrim hype would not be a good idea either.

What i dont understand, is why a large portion of the bsn community is against pandering to the shooter crowd? I'm part of that shooter crowd but i enjoy me 3 just as much as any other guy/ gal on these forums.... Bioware makes more money by drawing in more fans and the game gets that much more popular. Why the hate rpg ists?

You and me both (well I enjoyed ME1 and ME2 as much as the next), but yeah.  Most of it just stems from elitism.  To me, there's alot worse that could happen if BW, in an attempt to court more shooter fans...let's say...figured out a way that they could seamlessly integrate Gears' TPS mechanics, into the style of game that they do best.  That would just be pure win in my view. I realize there's probably a significant cost associated with that level of polish, so I'm satsified with the shooting elements we have, with pause combat, RPG elements, etc, integrated that make it such a unique gaming experience.  I would love to have a deeper inventory and a more meanigful store/looting/upgrade and leveling mechanic, but in ME I'm willing to forego some of that for tighter gameplay.  Like I said, it works for ME. 

But, to me, it doesn't, and won't, work for Dragon Age...at all.  My anti-elitism has a limit after all.  DA2 was pure pandering epic fail...imho, of course.  And yes, I realize that not everyone feels the way I do about either franchise.

I don't like shooters either, but Gears of War actually has a story, and a pretty interesting one at that.  It's the only one I know that I find enjoyable to play. Halo: Reach feels like a chore, that has comics and novels that tie in with the games.  All they need is an anime, god I wish there was an anime.

I approve of this, I own all the gears of war games and I find gears 3 to be nearly perfect gameplay wise (take out the sawed off completely then it's perfect). I'm not really getting this outcry on BW's marketing for ME3. They are only doing what we wanted, when they marketed ME2 everyone was like "Too many spoilers! This game is gonna suck!", now it's "This game has too much action, too much shooting (not regarding the fact that the story is about war) this game is gonna suck!"
