I think that we need a Off/On button for homosexual content.
Now please, don't attack me just yet. I am a good, normal christian father, and all I ask you to do, Bioware, is think of the children. I personally do not aim to show this kind of videogame to any of my sons, but I worry about the young generation, or the part of it, which doesn't have any kind of  guidance from responsible parents that would prevent them from taking a wrong path.
A young mind can be easily confused. If you show to children, in this game, that homosexuality is in some universe completely okay, this will have an effect on them. As members of this fine, christian society, we have a RESPONSIBILITY. for these kids. We all know that this is a mature game, not meant for kids, but without any doubt some will play it and some will watch it. We can't be showing our kids contradicting material, we can't corrupt their heads with such immorality.

Surely guiding children down the right path is more important than petty money you get from catering to those kind of people, Bioware?

Thank you.

If that's the case then Shep shouldn't be sleeping with any of his/her LI's at all....sex outside of marriage, etc...also stated as immoral in the Bible.

Lesbianism is more than possible in ME1 if you have a FemShep....that's homsexuality.

Plus Shep shouldn't deal with Sha'ira either, going by her gift of words in ME1 and her email in ME2, she appears to be some sort of Seer...also unacceptable.

Even Paragon Shep kills many people with whom it may have been possible to negotiate with or involving himself in fights he could have avoided (side missions)...it seems to me he goes looking for targets.

Sheps looting....stealing, thats a sin also.

The list goes on.....

Why do you play the game considering the above points and more?

Hmmm. Shouldn't simply avoiding the content suffice?

Edit:

To add: you are responsible for your own children, just as other parents are responsible for theirs.

You can ignore any content you don't want your children to see. That's not Bioware's responsibility.

They're going to find out certain realities of the modern world at some point - and as laughably misinformed as your argument that a video game can change someone's sexuality or lead them down a path is, the content in Mass Effect 3 would likely be less visible and tamer than what you'd find every day on TV.

Also, This game is rated M for mature meaning 17+ No Kids should be playing this game. "Think of the children" , Think of them by not letting them play the damn game in the first place.

Mass Effect is only growing darker and grittier.

I apologise for saying so sir, but I think you should find a new game or series to entertain you.

I was raised in a Christian household, while yes - I haven't chosen necassarily to follow the faith yet, I see no issue in playing these games. My parents were made fully aware of the content when I begun to play and have no issues with it. My father is very devote in his beliefs, yet he still is a fan of violent games such as Battlefield or Call of Duty.

Mass Effect is not the real world. While it deals with life-like issues such as politics, back-alley deals and violence - that is simply the nature of the game. It's a galaxy at war and you play the solider trying to negotiate through it with as much of an idealistic or ruthless manner as the player sees fit.

And quite frankly, if someone under 15 is playing, then why in hell aren't their parents or legal guardians doing something about it? By the time someone has reached 15 anyway, they're nearly old enough to make their own decisions about how they want to live their life and even get jobs. Why is a game meant to entertain so dangerous?

I don't attack you, so please don't feel offended. But exactly that's the problem - the aged religious standards.

It's a great thing you're a caring father and don't wanna show the game to your children since the game isn't made for children, not a bit: too much violence, too many possibilites to do bad stuff like commiting homicide - kicking some guy out of a window or shooting a surrendering person isn't something I'd show my kids if I had any - I'm almost 30, for the record.
ME isn't made for kids and therefore, children shouldn't play the game. I never get it in my head why violence is not much as a problem as sexuality. Okay, to be fair, I am an European, not a citizen of USA but still.

I mean half of the world is argueing if those guys in Saudi Arabia living in the dark age because of their strict standards when it comes to women and sexuality - and home the same guys fear the young ppl could get spoiled by being exposed to nude skin. That's double standards in my eyes - but as I said, I am European, and even my ex GF was from USA, I never fully understand this. So please don't feel offended - our standards are not exactly the same.

A young mind can be easily confused. If you show to children, in this game, that homosexuality is in some universe completely okay, this will have an effect on them. Homosexuality is okay for me. In this universe. Not in a fictional universe only. I can live with that. And I'm straight. Dunno why people have problems with homosexuality. It's no disease and can't "spoil" young peoples mind in my eyes. If someone is homosexual, then it's his or her natural alignment. As I said, it's no disease, it can't be "cured". Just think of those lefties (my fiancee is one) - for ages some societies tried to re-train to use their right hands as primary hand. Some of them suffered some heavy psychological issues just because of that.
Now think of re-training homosexuals to straights - do you think they'll be happy?

It's the same deal. Love is okay, it doesn't matter if it's love between a man and a woman or an man and a man or a woman and a woman. And homosexuality isn't immoral.

Surely guiding children down the right path is more important than petty money you get from catering to those kind of people, Bioware?

Thank you.

And that offends me personally. And I'm not even homosexual.

He's right you know. I've seen it happen with my own eyes. Kids simply hear the word homosexual uttered in casual conversation and POOF! they instantaneously turn into gimps, gigolos and in the most serious and heartbreaking of cases, Perez Hilton.

There you go no "OMG teh gays!" near your child.

But a character like Jack, and all the indiscriminate killing that Shepard is doing, is appropriate for your kids?

America glorifies violence and frowns upon sexuality. You didn't notice it yet?

He said he's a caring father and doesn't show ME to his kids.
However, he's afraid other kids could get spoiled by homosexual behavior in ME3.

Must say - why do people always meddle with other people's affairs? I don't get it. I really don't.

Like it or not sir, these things you see in video games are entertainment. Simple as that. Are you saying that we should not be allowed to entertain ourselves by playing through adventure games? Should we dumb ourselves down to the level where everything should be written by dinesy? Where there is a sugarcoated world where everynoe agrees, laughs and smiles and all is good?

No - its a boring reality. Like it or not, Violence has become a popular form of entertainment in games, and it fills the world as much as hatred does. There will always be a difference of opinion as surely as people exist, but unfortunately, if people let their children play this game - one that has been rated as M15-17+ depending on the country it's sold in, then that's just pure neglience on their part and they should be blamed if their child gets these so-called 'weird ideas'.

It's because they're control freaks that can't stand the idea of someone else living a way different than their own.

Nude sex scenes in ME3.

Don't say anything, just think about it.

Now let's discuss. ME is a game, that is aimed towards mature gamers. The trilogy has so far had excellent moments: choices between life and death, suicide missions and massive moral dilemmas. But then, when it
comes to romances... the game falls apart. After all that time you spent on romancing Jack ('cause let's face it, people who romance Tali or Miranda are just lonely, insecure nerds, LOL), all you get it is a tasteless sex scene.

This. Game. Needs. Nude. Sex. Scenes. Without nudity, this game has no credibility as a mature game. Without
accurately describing the unity of Shepard and Jack, this game can't be anything more than a kiddy space shooter story.

I rest my case.
