before this gets locked - another video worth watching.. since we're sharing :)

to OP. homosexual relationship is no different from heterosexual. bioware is not going to add porn into the game, heck, Mass effect has barely any hints of casual relationships.. its all love and commitment. I'd say, it was a pretty good message to give to the kids. better then punching mercs out the window, punching random workers, to go where you are not supposed to, leaving civilians to burn alive, in order to chase down some merc, etc etc.

Why not have an all-encompassing "turn off sex" button. Nobody would
ever make sexual passes at Shepard; all romance scenes end in an
intellectual conversation around breakfast; and those dancing asari in
all those clubs? They'd be replaced by elderly men sipping tea.

or this, :D

Now please, don't attack me just yet. I am a good, normal christian father, and all I ask you to do, Bioware, is think of the children. I personally do not aim to show this kind of videogame to any of my sons, but I worry about the young generation, or the part of it, which doesn't have any kind of  guidance from responsible parents that would prevent them from taking a wrong path.
A young mind can be easily confused. If you show to children, in this game, that homosexuality is in some universe completely okay, this will have an effect on them. As members of this fine, christian society, we have a RESPONSIBILITY. for these kids. We all know that this is a mature game, not meant for kids, but without any doubt some will play it and some will watch it. We can't be showing our kids contradicting material, we can't corrupt their heads with such immorality.

Surely guiding children down the right path is more important than petty money you get from catering to those kind of people, Bioware?

Thank you.

how about you stop, look at yourself and think for a minute that maybe gays aren't actually satan incarnate

Actually you can't. You see, in order to judge someone as a character you have to atleast be able to imagine yourself in that persons shoes, to be able to somehow understand the situation, of course choice is a different matter. But you cannot imagine yourself in Gods shoes, because God is not a human, his character/personality doesn't work the way people work. You can understand Jesus more, but I'm sure the qualities you listed do not really portray Jesus from the gospel.

I'm confused.
Banging aliens and sex outside of marriage is okay for you and murdering and slaughtering (humanoid creatures) is what makes up most of the game and you don't care about the genocide Sheprad commits....but the possible gay sex that has to actively sought after (picking the right responses in conversations) is what has you worry about "the children"? I think you have the wrong priorities!
Also, what is the terrible effect with showing children a world in which homosexuality is okay? They come to terms with their own homosexuality or learn to not judge people based on their sexuality. Terrible indead.
Normally I'd say your a troll, but I'm not actually all that sure with you...

Well if there is a button, then it should be able to turn off both gay and/ or straight sex, not only gay sex. Then that would be fair to anyone.

I know this thread will be locked soon so I'll make this quick

I'm a christian myself OP but I disagree with you what your saying is very disrespectfull, people should be with the people they love regardless of geneder which is why I support s/s relationships in ME3 and secondly The game contains violance and drug references etc its not intended for children under 18

Imagine a new color in your head that cannot be made with RGB mechanics, that is not a part of rainbow. Imagine a sound that you never heard. Invent a new emotion that you've never felt. Imagine a new fifth dimention rule.
Until you do that, don't tell me that you can imagine yourself to be God.

There is nothing to be narcisstistic about. You are an empty shell, that has no power to shape anything new. You are but a little child playing with the blocks God gave you, and you will never be able to build your own.

I'm Christian, and I don't find the content to be offensive in the least. God gave us free will that we may choose.

He also commanded us to not judge unless we are without sin. How about the part where only Jesus is the only judge of the quick and the dead. I perosnally do unto others as I would have them do unto me; and I would prefer that they leave such matters between myself and God.

How dare you hide behind the bible and perpetuate bigotry, OP. Shame on you.

I don't get this insane mindset.

Here we have a game where people are shot, set on fire, casually electrocuted, thrown from skyscrapers, melted into sludge and their corpses unceremoniously dumped on heaps like so much garbage. And people are worried about depictions of homosexuality. What the hell is wrong with you people?

I say this so called "protection" is not for the children's benefit at all, but for the parents'. They don't want their children to be exposed to things that don't fit into their narrow worldview. They don't want their indoctrination of their children endangered. That's the beginning and the end of it.

Children have no business playing the ME games. But not for the romance scenes. There's nothing in them I wouldn't let a 6-year-old see, and same sex romances wouldn't change that.

That feel when this christian father is completely okay with the main character butchering people to the left or right, but not having sex with a member of his or her own gender.
