So, I posted some of this in reply to another topic somewhere, but I ordered the CE edition for PS3 on the 24th.
I never received a confirmation email, I have an order number on my profile that's invalid and gives me SYS_000001 error when I click it, they tell me everything is fine according to my email address, their website only accepts my login information every once in a while (I've changed my password to the same thing even when logged in a separate section of the site with it), they pulled out money on the 24th, and all they will tell me is it's fine, I'll get an order number when it is officially released.
Now I am seeing some people on here are getting it shipped or have it already and I just have an invalid order number on my account that says unsubmitted still?
Any ideas?
Their chat people have been pretty useless. They told me that the order number on their site was wrong and I should be fine because my email address brings up a different number on their site?
I've been told my credit card number must be wrong (they pulled it out of the bank), just to wait 48 hours, that that wasn't my order number, pretty much it's gonna be fine, don't worry, without fixing anything?
Am I the only one suffering from EA?
Anyone had these issues resolved?

You couldnt make me order things from EA. Even if it was free Id rather just walk down to my local store and put the money on the table rather than go through EA.

This was going to be your standard blithering hatred dribble EA is Satan post...but then EA shipped my copy of DAO CE on Thursday 2nd Day Air for free.

Ya. You guys whine and complain. I enjoy DAO early. I like how the world's looking today.

EA is a business. If they have not taken your money yet, they will fix it so they can ;) Many front line customer service people are not trained to deal with all situations, you will encounter them once every so often. Does EA have an office in your Country you can try to call for assistance?

I called and they told me my order was fine, ignore the website, it all seemed okay on their side.
It's just killing me I haven't received any confirmation or shipping emails and my order still shows up as unsubmitted.
They took my money the day I ordered, just no receipt.

It sucks, but certain life lessons are indeed painful. Few more so than not to order from the EA store.

Worse come to it, you will want to cancel the Pre-Order ... but since Customer Service says it is fine, maybe it really is fine. Another hope is that the devs themselves visit these forums, they can probably point out the solution for you that will work better or do something to help ease your anxiety.

It was the CE Edition that led me to it. Gamestop had stopped taking orders. :(

I ordered mine through EA store too on the 27th, i did received a confirmation order but i too couldn't log on to check my order history. From what i understand is that the order will only appear once the game is release on the official date.

Heres a quote from in the order confirmation email i got,

"PREORDER PRODUCTS

Orders placed for items not yet available will be fulfilled on the product launch date. For downloadable products, a download icon will appear on the product launch date. "

So i guess you should just wait till the official release date, i doubt EA would go around cheating people off their money anyways. Also as for pre-load dates, that i would like to know since theres no info about it on EAstore.

The question is once your preload is finished can you play it? Specifically since EA's already shipped alot of people's copies, I'm curious if their preload actually will just unlock the game once its done downloading.

That would be so money. Unfortunately, it would probably be breaking their agreements with many retailers who have not (yet) broken the street date. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Well I just tried the unlock code for it and all I got for my effort was an error. :pinched:

Yeah you're prolly right, me either, but hopefully in the very minor chance it works like that, I hope Bio-Boy posts a response, since I'm still looking at an "Open" unshipped order page from gamestop and really starting to get impatient.

I have no doubts that I will not be playing the game until November 3, it just would be sweet if their was a screw up and it would allow me to. Heh, I am just excited that I get to have it downloaded before the 3rd so I can just jump right in and play. (o:

EA themselves will not break their own release date. People who got their working copies early got them from other sources. EA is a big company, they will not take your money and not give you the goods. Go with a reputable company and you should be ok. Wait till release date and see what happens.

Call them, you won't get much help with email support on this problem, that sys0001 error is something from the software all these companies use that means the data you are trying to retrieve is unavailable (probably item information). Something like a 401 error or a 404 error on the web...

But something is definately wrong with your order, call and supervisor will investigate, sounds like the EA store is nothing more than a reseller for whoever truly runs the order taking business..  and somehwere inbetween channels the order got all goofed up....

~8 GB for most digital retailers, ~16 GB for Steam. The EA DDE preorders are now preloading in North America. There's even a thread about it on the first forum page.

Well for the regular edition I have, it clocks in at 7.9 gigs. I have 5 addition game content downloads that I cannot see the size of also.

This may be a stupid question, but could you run it off an external hardrive? (Firewire or USB 2.0)
I only partitioned a small part of my drive to windows.
