Is there people who hate Isabela?

As for hating these characters... I just don't understand it. Not a single character in this game is hate-worthy. Not even Meredith. In fact the only one who comes even close is Patrice. And I can even understand why SHE did things. Not that I agree, but I can see the point.
Also, it's really, really easy to keep bela and nearly never use her ever. I can get a full 50% friendship with her in act2 simply by doing her quest in act 1, giving her a gift, and taking her into the fade.
After that, its purple-line text that gets the most friendship points out of her, much like Varric.

(Which I'm still a little surprised by. So he's not great with words. Neither is Hawke half the time, and the Poet's not a bad-looking dude. I bet he's a generous lover, too, which can make up for any skill he might lack.
I suppose that "dusky goddess" bit was a little over the line, though.)

Edit: Just for the record, I like Isabela.

Kidding aside, I actually hate her for her selfish and apathetic nature.
LOL oh god
I actually also dislike her; not for the sex thing so much as the lack of loyalty. I also had problems with getting her to stay unless I metagamed. Or slept with her - which is a big no. My PC doesn't need to catch anything from her. To be fair, I liked her before I played the game (you know, before the game was even released, lol), does that count?
Anyway, everyone has their own personal tastes, but I don't think they should take her out completely. While I wouldn't mind it and would prefr a "fresh" leading lady, I don't think it's fair to the people that do enjoy her character and want her in their games.
I don't think it's really right to impose my personal preferrence or taste on other people, especially when it's easy enough to just ignore her. I do wish there was an option to kill her though. Turning her into the Qunari isn't good enough since she escapes. =/ We can ruin the lifes of or kill any of the other companions so I call BS and shenanigans on this.

There will be a new leading lady for DA3 (along with a new PC)...unless you mean for DA2.

The biggest problem with her though, is that I have to metagame her to either get friendship or rivalry. Yeah, like her but no num-nums for her diseased self. (If you play as a female she's at Anders clinic with an STD - so...no.)
But she's the least jerk-y of the companions, well besides Varric, and has the best banters, imo.
And like someone else said, besides Varric, Aveline, and the sib, they all do horrible, horrible things, most of which involve killing innocents.

It could just be that I haven't spent much time with her, though. She dumped me in the 2nd chapter of my first playthrough, and I'm currently on the first second playthrough that's gotten past the first act.

You all realize she's at the clinic getting it cured, right?
If you sleep with her after talking to Anders, she's got a clean bill of health and won't be passing anything along to you.
If you sleep with her before talking to Anders it's more likely than not she got whatever it was from Hawke. So, y'know.

It's clearly a failing of the game for not allowing the player to maximise their unecessary pettiness, yes.Thief-of-Hearts wrote...

I didn't realize that depended on Hawke's gender...which is kind of odd.

I sadly have to agree with this. We gamers can be a grim lot.

In at least one of my games, it was Seneschal Bran at the clinic, but that was when Isabela ran away. What other scene would male characters see?

This.
I absolutely abhor killing companions as a way to remove them from the party. And I think it's just.... weird for people to get mad at a game because they can't kill a companion/NPC.

Yeah, that's my only real issue with her...I find I can only keep her by romancing her. Then again, she is the only romantic interest with any common sense at all.

Okay, thanks! I've seen both scenes with Isabela and Bran (playing as a female)...I didn't know if there was another one that was dependent on gender or whatever.

As for the discussion... When I think of Isabella, I think of a nasty STD with legs. As a guy, I find her unusual sex craving nature disturbing & a complete penis shrinker . I never bothered having her in my platoon, so inevitably she betrays me every play through. The fact she doesn't wear any pants, for some odd reason has always bugged me. It's so disgusting & unattractive. I'm a man with respect & standards for the opposite sex, but Isabella has neither.

it is when you can be "petty" with every single other character other than isabella. it's called 'play style' and a lot of people have different types. or are you saying i shouldn't be allowed to do something in game because YOU wouldn't do/enjoy it?
This.

Not "mad at me".
