Yeah, comparable to mine.

Oh, now here's the sick thing: If anyone should wind up with both a broken and a replacement model (because sometimes, companies will do that) I'd be willing to take it off your hands, as is, for the cost of packaging and shipping.

Something to experiment on before I repaint mine.

Here's an update I got:

"We are requesting the replacements from Dark Horse, the manufacturer, and will ship them as soon as we are able."

I am so glad I did not order this. The model's quality is HORRIBLE. No sharp sculpted details, everything looks soft and squishy. Highly disappointing. I've seen a couple people extract the game files and make a professional looking Normandy that puts this to shame.

The LEGO Normandy blows this one out of the water. Whatever happened to quality control? Seems like Dark Horse is just using the license as an excuse to print money.

I've just receive mine, perfectly fine. I'm terrified with your pictures, I would have been heartbroken if mine had a something broken :(

Now I get back to my non-spoilers cave until ME3 release :D

CRAP.  I got shipping confirmation before all these pictures were posted.  What a PATHETIC looking paint job.  My six year old son could have done a WAY better job than that!!!  Well that was money well wasted.  If mine looks like that, can I just send it back to these clowns and get my money back???  :crying:

Same here.  The moulding is poor quality and the paint-job is awful - though not quite as bad as Vertigo 1's, which is absolutely unforgiveable.

I think I'll be asking for a refund... I've seen much better work for much lower prices, there's really no excuse for putting out this sort of rubbish.

So is anyone from Treehouse going to jump in and address the quality? I, like pretty much everyone else on this thread, am really disappointed so far. It'd be nice to get an acknowledgement of "yeah, this didn't go as planned" as the silence basically says deal with it suckers.

Treehouse only sold the item, Darkhorse made and distributed it. Email Darkhorse to comment on it. The only thing you can blame Treehouse for is not having better pictures and/or final product pictures so you could see the quality.

Not sure how things are in the US, but here in the UK it's the seller's responsibility for the quality of goods.  I guess it's to avoid the otherwise inevitable problems with finger pointing ("it's their fault, blame them!" "No, blame them instead!" etc)

I don't know either but I would assume it depends on each stores individual policies.

Considering you recieved and opened it, asking for a refund from Treehouse is not proper at that point. If it was unopened and you sent it back, fine but to ask for a refund simply because your not happy with the products paint job after the fact, especially when they did not produce it is not cool in my opinion. Some things you just have too accept.

Got mine this morning...

Paint is alright, nothing amazing, but better than some of what I've seen here. Model itself leaves a lot to be desired though

Morally, I think it's the seller's responsibility: they were paid for sub-standard goods after all; whether or not they produced it is immaterial in my view.  Legally, I'm not sure: if they had a presence in this country they would be legally obliged to sort it out, but I'm not at all clear what's the situation where either US law or imported goods are concerned.

But if nothing else, it's bad PR if they're made aware that they've been selling sub-standard goods and done nothing to rectify the situation.

However, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself since I don't even know their stance on the issue: I haven't contacted them about it yet.

I live in the UK, so I got mine this morning. Relieved it made it to me in one piece after reading this thread last week. Returns overseas are always annoying.

Not a very good model though. Paint job is pretty bad. Kind of regretting getting the cerberus version now.

I am in the UK also but had nothing yet did you get an email first saying it had been posted as I have not had one yet and in the store it still says pending fullfillment

It'll be sent out at some point: they can be quite random about when stuff is shipped, but they've never let me down in terms of it actually being shipped sooner or later!  You'll get an email once they post it.

Treehouse occasionally has a role in the design process so I don't think it unreasonable. Although, I think I meant to write Bioware at the time and just typed the wrong company. Regardless, it would be nice to have some official word about these - whether it is just "you're SOL suckers" or "we hear you and will do better next time".

Yeah, I got an email and then I got the ship about a fortnight later. But the above poster is right. They will dispactch it eventually, they can be a bit random sometimes with the date though. lol.

I have a Cerberus version on "preorder" from bbts but if the paint jobs are that bad I think I may just cancel the order. Yikes.

Mine arrived this morning (UK).

The paint job on my model is actually very good. I'm probably one of the lucky ones judging by the above posts.

Still haven't heard about replacements being shipped out. It's been 3+ weeks

Has anyone else (who had their ship damaged via shipping) heard from them yet on this?
