I'd be interested in a Depression-era Noir/Horror RPG in the style of Dark Corners of the Earth, myself. Steampunk/Sports doesn't really interest me, and they'd need to make a really compelling case for another shooter game for me to pick it up.

If they are willing to announce it now. I am guessing they have been working on it for a while and it was greenlit at least one to two years ago. Since Bioware seem to have a period of predevelopment and prototyping.

Last few years have been cautious due to economic situation. So I think it will be safe and mainstream. Maybe post apocalyptic or some kind of modern urban setting.

Unless it ends up being overhyped facebook or handheld game. A new studio may not be able to immediately produce something of the level of DA and ME. Edmonton has a lot of experience learnt over multiple titles. So new studio may not aspire to make same type of games.

(Sadly) I'm not expecting a real RPG - probably an action/adventure with RPG elements, like dialogue choices, a couple of companions, etc.

But not a classic RPG like BG or DAO. And even less RPG-ish than Mass Effect.

Could still be good though.
