Jade Empire with cars crashing in the Desert?? I don't think so.Reptilian Rob wrote...
Oh please, oh please let it be Shattered Steel or Jade Empire 2. If it is indeed a NEW franchise though, that works too!

Well I remember taking a survey about a more futuristic Jade Empire sequel a long time ago, so yes it could possibly be a jade empire sequel.

That would be so very strange, like Mario with an M-16 Strange.
It's about time mario got some new weapons.

Hmmmm...could it be an update of Autoduel?
EA would own the rights, seeing as it was an old Origin Systems RPG. They'd easily be able to stick multiplayer in there. Thats my guess.
Exactly what I was thinking: an Auto Duel reboot. Seems to make sense with EA and Origin. Mix in a few RPG elements; tack on the MP....
Autoduel (and Car Wars) is owned by Steve Jackson Games.
http://www.sjgames.com/car-wars/
While they've let the trademark expire on Autoduel, they still have it registered for Car Wars and the game was a licensed game using their IP, so just like Dungeons and Dragons, Bioware can't use it and the license must have expired by now. The game world is also SJG property.
(I'm sending a note to SJG now to make sure EA doesn't try to grab the Trademark).

That image helped a lot. I have no interest in smashing cars and deserts. I prefer the sci-fi or straight up fantasy. Going to save me some money.
lol. So you were going to buy the game in this new IP without having learned anything else about it?

As long as it has a good story and is not a FPS, I will be happy.

And why would you want to announce it at the VGA pseudo awards? It's just one big marketing event. Celebraties who don't care about gaming run around and make dumb comments, half of the games that win prizes didn't deserve them (Last years Spider Man prize only went out to Spiderman because they were trying to be funny on stage!) and there will also be a ton of other reveals during the VGAs taking attetion away from your big reveal... I don't really get it ._.
Also: *Insert stupid comment about EA changing Bioware here*

I know, I know, nothing is certain and this could still be an amazing RPG, but if that's the case then why don't you just show something that looks like an amazing RPG instead of the new Motorstorm Rival...? I know there are people in marketing who say that any kind of publicity is good publicity, but is it really a good idea to get people confused and partially disappointed instead of exited? =(
I'm sorry, this is Bioware we are talking about and by this point ANYTHING they do, show will cause a cataclysm of nerd rage, violent ranting and declarations from "old school fans" explaining how they feel betrayed and are never going to buy another Bioware game again.

I really hope it isn't a post-apocalyptic thing. I hate that sub-genre.
I'm not much for it either. Definitely looks like it though. I think the screenie is concept art. Not sure.
Aren't those tank turrets in the background?

...and then they run out and buy the newest Bioware game anyway, just so they can come back and talk about how terrible it is, thus rendering the whole idea pointless.
But it does make for some good lulz, at least.

Either that or an intense case of facepalming. Oh, how I remember the good old days when KOTOR's three-dimensional graphic engine and three person party ruined RPGs forever.
