I don't think ALL the LI's will be romancable again in ME3 because it would simply be too many. If I were to bet, I would say the ME2 LI's will only be available as carry overs in ME3 and the re-romancable ones will be the ME1 bunch. This is because the ME1 options will seem "fresh" again .
Nop. As far as I know variables of ME2 AND ME1 get carried over to ME3. So if you did not go after a new LI in ME2 you'll continue your old ME1!LI in ME3.
Lets say your LI was Liara, you'll be able to continue that romance. Maybe it's possible to start a romance with Liara in ME3 if you had her NOT as romance in ME1, but I don't know if that's possible.
Same for Ashley and Kaidan.

I didn't mean the me1's ones COULDN'T be carried over, Both the ME1 and ME2 LI's will be carried over,I meant I think the ME2's are unlikey to be re-romancable in ME3. Should have worded that better

Either you can continue your relationship with new dialogues you wouldn't see if you romance her for the first time in ME3 or you can go even further. I actually hope for some kind reward. My LI from ME1 is Ashley and I hope for a great reunification scene plus some deeply emotional stuff on her side.CptBomBom00 wrote...
Yeah, but I keep wondering, because I have romanced Liara in ME1 and then continued the romance in SB, so what's next for her an my Shep?
Lets say, I definitely want a reward for staying faithful: a special scene maybe? A different epilogue? Who knows {smilie}
Why not? Maybe there is a romance storyline for every character. But while some are available on board the Normandy, others could be different.Hyrule_Gal wrote...

Lets say if you had Thane as your LI you'll most likely have to go to a specific planet or station to talk to him and to go after that special romance mission. Or, if you're visiting Thane, you always can have a romantic moment - who knows?
And no, I am NOT saying Thane won't be part of your crew. Just needed an example {smilie}

I guess I’m thinking what Bioware are more likely to do , and the cynic in me says they aren’t going to have 12 + characters available to newly romance in ME3. My gut says the ME2 romances will be treated more like bonus romances that you need to have done in ME2. I reckon we’ll have 3-4 newbies to romance (I by that I also mean old characters that weren’t available before) and Kaidan, ash and liara available to newly romance again.
This is because the ME1 bunch are a game older than the ME2 crowd (so it seems like more significant time has past for them to be “new” again) and also because there will be more importance re-introducing them (I take into account ME1 wasn’t available for ps3 users). But’s that just my prediction, I could very well be wrong.

For their relationship to grow more. It is what I am hoping for anyway. More intimate talks when alone on the Normandy. It will grow, that much I am sure on from what I've read from tweets and what not.CptBomBom00 wrote...

It's the first time Bioware are having to go beyond their usual romance formula (meet > shy flirt > confession of affection > sex) since ME is a trilogy, so it'll be interesting to see what they do with the romances.

There are four most interesting questions about that:
- is it allowed to continue any "old" relationships?
If yes, will we have to re-start that relationship or do we start on a higher stage?
- is it allowed to restart an abandoned relationship?
In case you cheated on your ME!LI, can you go back?
- is it allowed to start a new relationship with old potential LI?
Lets say you never romanced Ashley in ME, is it possible to romance her in ME3? Same for ME2 characters in ME3?
- and will we see a difference in a romance if we CONTINUE it in ME3 or start it from scratch?
What's the reward, is there any? Will we see more exciting scenes?
That's what I'm wondering.

But seriously you better beable to keep you relationship status even if at the start of the game its just a kiss as they exit the Normandy. But you shouldn't have to start off as though nothing happened but I doubt Bioware would do this...

Mac Walters

Played through all the key relationships. Deepest, strongest I've seen in a game. These characters are real people.
