Anyone knows how to identify a corrupt file ?

If it is an area that is not opening and you are trying to figure out which area file it is, I recommend trial and error. Other than that I don't know. I have replaced the main 4 area files from a backup and successfully repaired a very broken area. If it is an area, I recommend replacing the .are, .gic, .git, .trx files for the area from a backup and seeing how that works. Beyond that, I have little experience other than hurling poorly crafted insults at my uncaring computer screen. Best of luck.
