I bought a new computer some time ago and I decided to install DA: Origins on it. During install I put in my activation code. Everything is cool up to this point. I start up the game launcher, press play, and brings me to a new EA activation window (I don't recall this from installing the game when it first came out). So I have to login with my EA account and password. That works but then it asks for my activation key even though I already put it in during install. I put it in again and it says that key has already been registered. Well yeah, I already put it in. Anyway, it won't let me play the game because it keeps saying I have to put the activation key in there which has already been put in. I tried contacting EA support three times but I have received no response from them in over a week. Any ideas here?

contact EA and use the live chat option.
Is this a disk version, or Origin copy?? I really don't remember anything like you describe, but then it has been a few months since I reinstalled it.

It's a digital copy from Direct to Drive.
I'll try their live chat again although last time nobody answered.

Silly question time, do you still have access to your old computer, and if so, can you uninstall DA while the computer is online on it??

It's a recurring problem with D2D. I would use the CD key you got from D2D to register the game with EA Origins and use their digital download version. If you are having issues with it recognizing the CD key, contact EA support. D2D gave out CD keys that were for the wrong region for a number of people that cause all sorts of issues.

I'll try that then. EA support hasn't been helpful, well they might if they actually responded back to me but anyway.
Edit: Installing Origin and then putting in the key in there seems to have worked. Thanks for the help.
