I'm new to the mass effect games. I got Mass effect 1 from steam and collectors edition for mass effect 2. I have mass Effect 2 look amazing ingame with downloaded textures. But I was wondering how to get Mass Effect 1 better looking? I did the advanced tweaking, ingame tweaking etc..Got 1980x by 1080x

but the clothes and some objects appear blurry or in very low resolution  and I've tried messing around with things with no success. So a little help please?(I know others started this kind of post but need new information, the ones I found are the same stuff I did already) Someone said Bioware released a patch for the low resolution but I'm not sure if it's credible since there's no change in mine.

So thanks for any help! I'm a halo guy switching to Mass effect!:wizard:

There is no official patch for the resolution, and ME1 did have mediocre graphics.
There is the tweak thread you can have a look at in this forum, otherwise, you have to use TEXMOD to load up higher res textures that the community has worked on.

Why don't they release a patch to fix it? I would deffintely pay for a upgraded version of it like the 360(Just got it for 360 too hahaha) But still I love RPG's on Pc better than console, want the resolution to be fixed :(

Because its a 4 year old game that has already made its money for EA. EA arent the type of company thats interested in doing this for its game playing community.
Hell, even their official support sends the difficult problems to us other players to deal with, as they dont seem willing, or capable, of hiring competent tech trouble-shooters.

Bioware have stated in the past that a proper patch just to fix up Garrus's face would be multiple gigabytes, so for the entire game it would be huge, and not worth it financially. Best off applying teh various tweaks and/or texmod as listed in this thread.

Thanks, I got most of all. Only thing that won't change is the clothing/armor resolutions and some object's resolution. Wished that they actually figured out 1st that PC's should have max resolution before this came out. :/

ME1 was ported to the PC by a company called Demiurge in May 2008, when it was initially an Xbox exclusive title released November 2007. As a result, Demiurge only had the Xbox based textures to work with, and not the higher res development textures.
As you would have noticed from simple changes in Depth of Field perspectives, a lot of the low-res look of ME1 on PC was due to incorrect coding.

ME2 still used the same textures as the Xbox unfortunately, but we're hoping ME3 actually includes hi-res textures for PC owners to enjoy.

Lol...I guess I should have gotten it for the Xbox if I'm not getting the full experience through the PC with low res
