Excuse me? Can anyone advise me please?

After installing everything for the CEP 2.4, I'm not seeing any of the content in the drop down lists. :-/

For "Placeables"
and
For "Creatures"

I've checked the appearance 2.da file for creatures (from the CEP_Top2.4.hak) and it lists everything in 2.4.
I haven't checked the placeables .2da though as I'm certain there will also be a placeables list for 2.4 in there too.

So if the problem isn't with the .2da files, then why is there no CEP 2.4 content showing up for me?
I'm all clueless here! Does anyone know what my problem is please?

the MODEL is missing. The fact you see it in the drop down indicates that a .2da file is referencing it... so the problem isn't a missing 2da, it's the fact that you've likely not added the entire list of haks to the module.

I have only added what I see here in "The Amethyst Dragon's" first post.

i.e.

cep2_top_v24
cep2_custom (optional -- empty hak that can be used by PWs for storing blueprints and scripts server-side)

cep2_add_phenos5
cep2_add_phenos4
cep2_add_phenos3
cep2_add_phenos2
cep2_add_phenos1
cep2_add_sb_v1 (optional -- contains scripts and blueprints)
cep2_add_tiles2 (optional)
cep2_add_tiles1 (optional)
cep2_ext_tiles (optional -- use ONLY if you want to overwrite the
standard Bioware tilesets - without this you get seperate tilesets)

cep2_add_doors (optional)
cep2_core7
cep2_core6
cep2_core5
cep2_core4
cep2_core3
cep2_core2
cep2_core1
cep2_core0
cep2_crp
cep2_crp_s (optional)
cep2_build (optional)

But I removed the "cep2_custom" hak file because it's mostly empty and I'm not planning on using the haks in a PW or anything online (at least not from my own creations) any time soon.

If I have any haks missing, it means that, that list completely up to date and has completely confused me!:(
But....
I do have other haks in my folders.
cep2_patch_v22b.hak
cep2_patch_v22c.hak
cep2_add_races_A.hak
cep2_add_rules.hak

Wouldn't happen to be any of those by any chance?
Otherwise, can someone please inform me of which haks I'm missing here so I can look them up and add them?

Most probable reason, you got a corrupted HAK or 2 in the down load. Because the C.E.P.2 team released the update as they did, you'll have to re-download the entire set and hope it works right.

That is a possibility I guess.
I still have CEP 2.3 and used the updater a few times with it, and since a lot of the files between 2.3 and 2.4 are very similar, I guess the updater may have updated stuff for 2.3 and cancelled them out for 2.4.

I still have the 2.4 .rar file. So maybe I don't have to re-dowlnoad again.
I just unzip those files as is. I'll try that.
Thanks. It may just work.

Hopefully it will. But if not, then I'll come back later and ask for more help/advice.

the updater is not used anymore, that is probably where the problem occurred. Do not run the updater anymore.

If you run the CEP Updater with CEP 2.4 installed it will revert it to CEP 2.3 and content will not appear. More info is available on the CEP forums.

Hi guys, I'm an Italian boy so forgive my bad english...
I've a problem with CEP2.4's robe...infact if I mount a horse (1.69 type)  all the new robes don't work correctly and the result is like the robes doesn't mount on the horse.

Do you have the cep_add_phenosX included in your hak list? They usually have the robes for other phenotypes (which is what happens when you mount a horse).

What phenotype are you using for your riding? It looks like robe resources don't exist for that phenotype and it's rutting something in the default position.

EDIT: Nevermind, you're using 1.69 riding, makes it phenotype 8.

Perhaps CEP did not add riding robe support for those new robes, I do not see them anywhere in the phenotype haks. You would have to find out from someone on the CEP team.

Yes, it looks like there isn't the models for robes on mount....
I hope the CEP Team is still working for a new version of 2.4

Well I can make you a hak up after work, if you tell me what phenotypes you need them for?

Just for riding? Its phenotype 8.

If you decide to put in the effort, I could use them too...
In fact, a few people probably could.

What are the odds of me convincing you to post them on the vault?

I'm sorry but i don't understand what are you saying...
I saw the cep_top_24 and in the phenotype 2da number 8 is the jousting large phenotype.

The problem is for the new robes added in 2.4 (like surcoats, old greek short skirts, ecc..).
While you are on the ground you can wear it and move around the area, fight ecc.. so all animation for phenotype Normal and Large are looking good.
But if you mount a horse or a ridable creature robes doesn't work regardless of the original phenotype of the PC. Infact the result is what you can see in the picture that i posted.
Because i never make an hak i don't know what's to be done ....

If I understand the process correctly, which I may not...

You have to make a copy of the cloak mdl for each phenotype and re-name it to match the pheno line that you want it to work with.
Then, you have to open each of the mdls (notepad works) and find every instance of the old pheno line reference in the mdl and change it to the new line reference.

I think that's it (which is no small feat if there's a lot of cloaks).
I've been trying to find software to speed up the process for large groups of cloaks, but I haven't had a lot of luck yet.

btw, if there's more to it, I'd love to know before I get started on my own project of getting PRC and CEP working with horses, which is going to involve a lot of this stuff...

May be....i don't know how fix this bugs 'cause i never edit an hak by myself.
However it could be more difficult than what are you think because i'm not talking about cloaks but robes.
I think that are totally missing the right model for the robes in tha hak pack of CEP2.4 for mounting phenotype...so only CEP Team Modeller can fix this bugs adding this model....but this is my opinion.

I hope they will do this soon but if there's someone able to smooth things over .... help us, please:lol:

Sorry, I don't read this!!!

Yes i'd like have all the new robes added in v2.4 working when you are mounting a horse (I use 1.69's horses) for all phenotypes.
If you can fix the hak it could be the new release for CEP on the Vault! The problem is really widespread in italian community and for this reason nobody can use this new beutiful robes in their PW or Modules.

It won't (Shouldn't) require any actual modeling. The way the models work in NWN, you don't need to make an entire new model for every cloak or robe. You make a single robe and cloak model and give it the animations that you need. Then, you can set that model as a "Supermodel" in the other cloak/robe mdl file. The new cloak/robes will reference the super model to get their animations.

That is what needs to be updated. You need cloaks/robes that list the correct supermodel in their mdl.
Hopefully, Calvinthesneak will decide to get them working for us because it would save a lot of time, and I've never actually done it. I've only read about it.

Perfect now I understand....forgive me but I'm totally ingnorant in this aspect of NWN customization.
I also understand clearly that resolving this will take a lot of time and hard work so...I can only be grateful to all of you that are working and developing all this material.
And last but not list my english is not so good so please forgive some misunderstanding by myself.

I think that's all at the moment....i only hope there's an update of 2.4 'cause it's a shame that a lot of the contents doesn't work perfectly!

Wyldhunt has the right idea. It's making the model inheret the correct supermodel.

I do not promise perfection as some of the custom animations for robes (such as a_fa_skirt) simply do not synchronize well.

And I'll have to apologieze, I have a meeting to prepare for tomorrow, so I cannot get it done tonight.

But using the tools NWN Armoury and Useful File Utilities, I can batch convert a phenotype fairly quickly once I set my base models. I will try to have this done by the end of the week.

I cannot promise any support from CEP, because I simply do not know what they are up to. The models will be "As provided".

"As Provided" is considerably more than we have now.
Thank you. It's appreciated.
