I'm admin at Legacy: Dark Age of Britain. We've been around nearly a year now, and to celebrate we're refining and rebuilding much of our core mechanics. We're moving toward an even more dragon-age influenced class design, with 3 base classes (rogue/warrior/adept) that then have further progressions. NWN2 spells and our current custom 'spell points' system will be thrown out the window. Instead spells will all be feats with individual and global cooldown timers (ala Dragon Age), with basic cantrips serving as a constant basic caster's attack.
In terms of our starting backgrounds, we'll also be revising our approach to them to better suit our revised Legacy Points reputational/rewards system. Where once there was one singular LP Score, now each player will gain and lose legacy points in four categorie (Mighty/Cunning/Righteous/Charistmatic), the goal being for DM's to better be able to appropriately award more varying character concepts and better tailor those rewards to the characters' actual nature/accomplishments.
Further, we're increasing the scope of our game world through the design and implementation of a new overland map. To date, the server has been set in Gwent (around modern day Newport [i.e. Caerleon]). With the server's plots having progressed the past year, we will be building a new overland map to increase the scope of the game world to focus on all of Wales as well as Western-Middle England (i.e. the Anglo-Saxon occupied territories of the world).
Finally, we're going to continue to roll out more quality Dungeon areas akin to our Donat dungeon. With multiple connected areas, quests, and dynamic enemy types.
As you can imagine, these endeavors require a lot of love and builder time. I'm making this post in the hopes of finding a quality and professional builder who is interested in joining our team. Feel free to logon to the server and check out our areas and systems. I think you'll find that our standards for area design and our dedication to a low-fantasy serious RP setting are second to none. You can also check out the comments on the vault reviewing the persistent world (it was, last I checked, the highest rated PW on the vault).
Persons interested must be willing to take on projects and complete them in a timely fashion, and accept and implement requested changes/critiques. You will be working alongside the server admin (me), our build and script leader (psionic-entity) and our other builders. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role, we are willing to discuss how to revise our organizational setup to accomodate your level of involvement.
