I'm old enough to remember tape drives, I just never had one. Had a Ti-99/4a with 32k ram and a cartridge slot though. And a Commodore 64, though I had the 5 1/4 disks for that.

Hard copy.

I'm old school.

This, N7 edition. If I buy the game at all. Big "NO" if origin is mandatory.

I'll go for the good ol' CE on DVDs.

I have digital downloaded games as well, but I want more than just some included DLCs. I want the box.

And I hope EA will fix Origin - waiting for news about that. My pre-order is still active ...

I'll buy it at retail because I embrace my archaic nature — and while buying discs is still possible. Expect the option to disappear soon.

Us old-timers gotta stick together. In the olden days, we had to walk uphill both ways in the snow to buy games.

... on floppy discs.

You were lucky then, cassette tapes was what I had to get with their 20-30 minute load times which loading wasn't guarenteed in first placed to suceed. Yes I do consider my old comodore 64, amstrad cpc 464 and atari xl/xe/st etc to be PC's aka personal computers.

Soon we will get those 30 minute load times back, when they create layer after layer of copy protections, that only affect people who actually buy games.

"And in the old good days we had to walk uphill both ways in the snow to buy games." And we had to do it anyway when we went to vistit a friend to get pirated games  Nowdays even that is so much easier.

Ahh, those were the days... B)

I'm not sad I missed that era. I remember buying floppy disk games at a local store for a few dutch guilders (those were replaced by euros almost 11 years ago now) a piece. Fun times and cheap too. 50 euros for a modern pc game would've bought me some 25 - 30 floppy disk games back then:blink:

And the 20 - 30 minute load times will soon be replaced by 20 - 30 minute of online verification if EA is allowed to keep doing what they do now...Ubisoft DRM will seem friendly by comparison

Hard copy, because it sounds cooler than download. Also I like having a lot of book and games on my shelves as it looks classy.

Hard copy. Never considered otherwise.

I can't put a digital copy on my games shelf.

While I get quite a lot of games these days as DD just for convenience, I still buy the "big" games as a retail hard copy, likely the collectors edition. ME3 needs to be put on a shelf, right next to ME and ME2.

One digital, one hard copy.

This.
One physical CE for the shelf, one digital to use.

I definitely prefer hard copy (discs).

I still have the original Pool of Radiance on 3.5" floppies (don't have my old 286 anymore). I still have several games on floppy, even some business software, and actually still have a couple of older computers I can run them on.

My first computer was a ZX-81 that used tapes, as did my old VIC-20.

While I do have a few titles (such as Jade Empire and ME 2) from digital downloads, I much prefer CD and DVD). My husband pre-ordered ME 3 for me on DVD. My favorite games are listed in my sig below, only two of which are digital downloads.

Hard copy of the N7 Edition. While it's nice to save space around the house using the online clients, I really dislike some of the recent trends cropping up. I'd rather feel secure with the product I purchase than leave it all in the hands of others.

I remember the hole-punched cards the original main-frames used, and once saw an 8-inch floppy disk....

As for me, I preffer hard-copies to digital.  I'm just plain old-school.

I preordered the (physical) CE from Gamestop, so I'm having it shipped to me. I hate downloading gigs and gigs of data unless I really, really have to.

Digital. I travel light.

I leave the problem of Origin to my capable Russian friends.

I will be buying it at retail, I get my employee discount, as well as points for my Loyalty Card. Not sure what I'll do with the copy though. This Origin stuff is really pushing me away from the title, and future EA games. I stopped buying Ubisoft games for less :(

I pre-ordered the CE, so physical copy for me. I'm also getting the CE for the xbox as well.

The only thing that has me concerned at this point is Origin. I really hope it's not required. I can live with the DA2 DRM, but Origin? meh...

Why is this question directed at PC players? both PC and console players can buy digital games and from retailers.

Well I seriously doubt ME 3 will be a digital download on the 360 and PS3.

Why would you doubt that?  You can download Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 on Xbox Live.  Why would ME3 be any different?

will you be buying me3 out of the shop or online??

I am thinking i'll just be getting it online if it's going to need origin to run...whats the point of getting disc.

Already have the CE edition preordered and paid for... could care less about origin.
