He's the sidekick. People like that always die, just like butch women (Jack, but it's kind of a given that she's going to die anyway). Devs have confirmed that some characters are going to die no matter what and it's kind of obvious who does. I've made peace with it.

I've always thought if anyone was to die in the series it would probably be Garrus. I like him but when it comes down to "take one for the team guy", it's probably him. Although, Bioware has good writing, so while it may be somewhat obvious, they like to love to throw curveballs. While Garrus may die he may die early and without any kind of build up. That would shock you to your core. Sudden death is a great plot device. Also think that someone else buys it early like a female you didn't romance or maybe Anderson.

well i think garrus is gonna die, hope he dies epicly saving lives and thane is inevitable. it would be cool if everyone died actually (cant believe im saying this). it would be so dramatic and heartbreaking. like during my suicide mission if anyway died id wince or jump

He is too cool to die. And besides he doesn't have time for petty things like death when there are calibrations that needs to be done.

Also I would like to keep hearing people complaining over how he and the rest of the story was not written to please them specificaly.

I wouldn't mind if Garrus dies (can't stand him), but I doubt they kill of fan favorites like Tali, Garrus, Liara or Miranda without a chance to prevent their deaths.

In the canon story I think that Tali is dead, but for Garrus we know for sure he survived the Suicide mission.

Not sure about both tough its just a suposition.
Altough its very likely to have to choose between Garrus and Tali, no caracthers are going to die without the palyer having his word to say about it.

Remmeber Wrex Kaidan/ashley?
You choose who die and live.
It will be most likely to be the same.

ummm what? We have seen Tali in footage as well so thats a stupid assumption. Also, there is no CANON playthrough fro ME1/ME2.

It's relatively unlikely that they'll make a scripted death out of someone that can already potentially be dead. Killing the LI is an option, but it's not one I think they'll exercise.

If BioWare is going to do a scripted/forced death, the most likely candidates are ME1-2 characters that weren't involved in the SM, or new characters from ME3. Odds are anything else would fall under preventable, but that's just my opinion.

Spoiler alert: The final scene of the game was recorded with Garrus dialogue, so he at least lives until thirty seconds before the credits.  A similar scene was recorded with Kaidan.  Both Raphael Sbarge and Jennifer Hale were getting choked up, though.

I'd like to see him die in a dramatic fashion, possibly by disobeying Shepard's orders and saying he was never really good at following them.
