Surely by having "RPG mode" you risk people not reading the menus properly and just clicking whatever is at the top of the page as the default mode, thus accidentally removing half the experience. Many console players i know just click through these menus without even reading because they want to get to the gameplay.

Wouldn't you be better off having RPG mode called "normal" mode, seeing as it is the full game, and have the other two modes as lesser options somewhere below it?

There's no RPG player in the world that won't read all the menus presented.  It's how we were raised by RPGs.

Someone used to clicking Next Next Next to get in to the game might not read all the menus.  Action mode should be the default choice.

And then theres a screen shot of ships in space a couple pages back - not done.

It's the demo.  People on NeoGaf are saying they finished it already.
