Despite their fierce rivalry with one another, SW and ST fans are not too different in regards to their fanaticism at least (don't worry, I won't say that on any fan forums either

Plus after finding out what happened to the Exile in the "KotOR3" novel I rather pretend the story ended on a huge question mark following KotOR2.

Is that the Revan novel?

Lol yeah I was something like a light Fanatic myself, I have a few figures, tried building some Manadlorian Armor. But so many people on those sites put me to shame, hell you even have a one site I know of that had put together the full technical readouts and capabilities of Star Destroyer. As to the Chewie thing, that one dude actully got dead animals mailed to his home. As to me I was like "What you expect him to live forever?" I just get sick of them pissing on the canon from the EU, such as having Zhan in SW EAW.
But nah I know what you mean. Course you can't tell them that, still I find it Funny that Lucas Arts and its sub divisions make all this stuff for kids, when the fact is its grown people that buy it, but they ignore it. Then again lucas himself sucks at marketing.
But I do wonder how the hard core crowd will react to it, and if it will have the same security that SWG had. Which is if there is a protest or some such rather than ban you they send you to the ass end of no where, where it may take even days to reach civilization.

Personally, I like the fact there are 8 base classes, with two Force using classes for each side. I am unlikely to ever be able to play a melee class without Pause funtionality, but am able to handle the ranged version well enough to join the MMO fray next month.
And I love the idea of allowing the SWTOR characters to actually RP a little more with the dialogue choices, as opposed to simply selecting Paragon & Renegade selections a la ME. More Grey/ Neutral gear may be needed perhaps, but I am encouraged by the expanded system.

Enormous wall-o-text about how wring the game is, and you haven't even played it. Amazing.

Yes, if you think about it, the game is limiting customization and role-playing by just pinning classes to one side. Like the Smuggler and Bounty Hunter class. Technically, they should be neutral. I think one of my main concern is the alignment of the classes.
These are my concerns based on the previews. I will play and hopefully, as I said at the end of the starting post, I will eat my words.

And Warhammer PVP was a horrid mess, and I hear it stlil is to this day. That's bad news for anyone wanting to PVP in SW:TOR.Elhanan wrote...
FYI - The Warhammer folks were put in charge of PvP, if that helps. Currently I am avoiding this kind of play like the plague; maybe later after the rules and punishments for violations are clarified more.

These neutral parties are not ingnored, but are not vast enough to be a faction. See here for a small example:

My concern or disappointment is that it is an mmo. I'd rather BioWare stuck with single player RPGs. MMOs are terrible.

It's almost too solo-centric considering it's an MMO.

I even read about a "single player end game planet" which sounds awesome but it does worry me how much of the game is actual multiplayer?
