Wait, so let me get this straight.

ME3 has 3 settings you can choose from before starting the SP campaign. And 1 of these settings actually pushes you through the game without ever clicking dialogue option?

Yes. It'd be like every other game, with non-interactive cutscenes.

However in the other two modes you have total control over dialogue/choices. Everyone wins :)

Do you have any idea how incredible stupid and arrogant this post is?

Is it really that hard to fathom that there might be people who would like to play the game in a different manner than you do?

Then they should go play a different game. That's what Gears of War and CoD are for, not Mass Effect. Why does every game have to get watered down and made more like Modern Warfare and pander to the idiot?! Why are BioWare wasting time on this crap instead of actually making a deep, involving and rich Mass Effect?! First Kinect... then multiplayer... now this! It's God-damned insulting!

Does this in any way influence how you would get to play the game ? - No.

So why the hell do you even care how other people play it?

Because I'm sick of BioWare pandering to the lazy and stupid and wasting time, effort, money and resources in doing so. I'm sick of seeing my once-favourite game developer lowering its standards for the sake of chasing the dollar and watering down its once rich products to pander to the "herp derp" audience. I'm sick of seeing them try and make sure even a brain-damaged two-year old chimp can get to grips with things by making everything brain-numbingly simple. And I'm sick of their whole attempts recently to have their cake and eat it too.

Gods BSN gets dumber for ever day.

What? Does that even make sense?!

If you mean "BSN gets dumber every day" then I agree. But I suspect not for the same reasons. But then I'm just an elitist hater who should "deal with it!" because I'm too butthurt, right?

No you're much worse - an arrogant **** who doesn't realize that there a lot of people interested in ME but doesn't hop on board because they only wishes to experience the story or the combat.. but noo you have to dictate how other people plays because .... geez i can't even come up with a reasoning that makes even remotely sense.

Bah it's completely pointless debating with you anyway.. never mind.

We don't know that it removes *all* dialogue options, but probably the nonessential ones that aren't tied to morality and decisions.

I don't know how they'd handle things like 'Investigate' or plot decisions that need to be paid. You'd think something dialogue *has* to have choices.

If you look at the demo, there's a fair few parts where Shepard chats to people in the middle of cutscenes or while they're walking somewhere; maybe 'Action' just goes with a default response and moves the cutscenes along quicker.

Yeah, though that's not set in stone yet. It was a beta that was very crude, as we saw in videos -- people stuck in doors and windows, blocky vehicles, buildings and terrain without texttures, etc.

Seriously? Just to reiterate - how does this impact you? Don't choose the option to play action game, play the story game since you seem to hate the combat and gameplay. Kinect? Don't use it. Don't have one? You're not missing out. Multiplayer? Optional. You're talking out your @ss and you should really check your facts before you start hating on Bioware.

If you want to play the game your way - go ahead! The option is still there! But after the 10th time of playing ME2 I'm honestly sick of the talking. I know the story. I just want to play the game. You're just saying the same thing over again - and nothing impacts you in anyway! Get off your high horse and realize there are more people playing the game than just you! The Beta looked fan-freakintastic. You're so bitter and hung up on the changes you can't see past it.

Believe it or not, some people don't like the talky bits.

They're completely insane, but there's a lot of them.

Holy mother of derp.

This is godamn hilarious, BW have actually made ME3 so you don't have to watch a single cutscene.

I honestly don't know what to say.

It could be worse. Action Mode could have been Only Mode.

I read the post as a what if scenario but people are talking like it is actually in the game. Did I miss an announcement somewhere or is this typical overreacting?

You don't have to in ME2 if you just keep pressing "x" to skip the cutscenes. After the 10th time it gets a little old. They're just giving you the option to not have to choose the dialogue. You're still going to have to see cutscenes, but you can skip them.

Nobody's forcing you to pick it.

Don't like it? Don't use it.

Shepard could've been aiming and shooting for you in a combat mode too.

Which is ironically enough not that far from what some RPGs have done.

It's being tweaked for implementation at the moment, a version was in a leaked beta.

The intro to ME2? Got old the fifth time I saw it and I wanted to skip it like hell.

The facts are simply this: what other things could BioWare have spent their time, effort, resources and budget on other than pathetic, pandering crap like this? Come March what am I going to be missing out on in the single-player campaign because they spent all their effort on these things? Am I still going to get vehicles, exploration, some decent sidequests and consequences beyond emails, things swept under the rug and lame substitutions, ala ME2? Beyond some weapon modding and skill-branching, I see nothing to indicate this isn't going to simply be ME2.5. They should be focusing on making the best possible single-player experience via an epic campaign filled with variations and content, not stuff that just panders to the CoD and Gears crowd to simply move a few more copies in the first couple of weeks.

Isn't that called "Story Mode"? It's weird how nobody throws a fit over there being several difficulty settings, for those who dislike or aren't good with combat and it's mechanics, but people throw a fit over this. I don't rant about what things I think were cut from the game to allow for a casual difficulty setting.

They have to throw a fit over something. It's what RPG-fanatics do. Just look at RPG Codex and the Skyrim forums.

On the PC i only play in 1080p so i demand that Bioware does not make any other resolution options available because it's a waste of resources(yeah I'm much better at allocating resources than some employed who has done that job for years..just so you know) and catering to the the "wrong crowd"(the wrong crowd is anybody who play a game i don't like).

Also if there is a Vsych option i will never buy another Bioware game again!
