I think it's not going to be a rpg. I think that Bioware wants to make games like Uncharted series. You can see it coming with the iconic looks, Voiced Pcs, and a more cinematic game.

Bioware said they like stories and want to focus more into story like games. I'm thinking they may start focusing less on gameplay like DAO or DA2 and even ME3 and have it more linear. The story and choices could get better.

That's what they are going to do. It's going to be more a linear action game.(Which I hate by the way.)

Yet the sheer irony of the fact that someone says they're making a game more action and linear for the story's sake leaves me laughing.

I'm assuming that you didn't read my post correctly. They said they wanted to focus more on STORY in their games usually and go more linear when it comes to combat systems. Think about it Bioware when it came to ME series has gotten more linear with gameplay and inventory. Hell due to many complaints they had to improve the actual combat in ME3.

You do know people have complained incessantly about the combat and inventory systems being to dumbed down right? It isn't difficult to understand Bioware put so much work in the ME3 combat system and inventory to make it good but less ****ty than the ME1 system.

Trying to head back to the original concept of the OP real quick...

...has anyone thought about the concept of "the game chooses my decisions for me" has for those of us who play with the RPG option? Does that hint at the possibility that almost every dialogue choice in the game is going to be cut and dry, black and white? I know people have complained about this before in ME games, but will ME3 be more of the same or, possibly, even more two dimensional?

But combat and inventory system have no impact on the story, or linearity?

That is what makes these complaints so funny. Bioware actually attempts to put focus on the combat system and inventory due to a lot of complaints. When they do that people say Bioware is appealing to the COD fans and ignoring story.

I have to say, seeing the image from BioWare's supposed new IP isn't doing much to convince me they still want to make strong RPGs.

Oh wow! Another Borderlands, Brink, RAGE clone! Like we need another gritty, overly-brown shooter with haggard futuristic vehicles set in a desert. *yawn*

It can still be an rpg, nothing is stopping an rpg from having action and flipping cars. Even if it isn't an RPG, you say that like it's a bad thing

Again, I'll use the "I believe different people are complaining about different things, not the same people all the time and about everything" card.

To me, the ME1 inventory and combat systems, while they could get a tad annoying at times (Specially when I was maxed out on creds), didn't really degrade the overall experience of the game. As for ignoring the story, I don't know...the main issue would likely be the marginalization of other dialogue paths than the one automatically selected in the action mode.

Dude your only argument against most people posts is "insert argument" card. Seriously are you so thick that you cannot think of something to actually intelligently respond to someone's post?

Edit: I really can't discuss **** with you other than assume you have not other real argument and just trying to get out of a simple discussion by stating the same **** every single time without giving any good reason for why anyone's opinion is for some reason not adequate.

To be honest, if BioWare came out and basically said, "we're going to make this action shooter that's incredibly brown and generic so we can branch out to a larger audience to not only profit but so that we don't need to water down and twist our proper RPG games any more" then I'd be all for it. I have no issue with BioWare trying to tap different audiences, as long as it's with different games. My issue lately with BioWare is that they're trying to tap different audiences with the same games, and watering down the likes of Mass Effect and Dragon Age to do so.

If you can promise me you'll still make deep RPGs and put the ME and DA IPs back on their correct tracks again, then you have my blessing with your gritty, brown action game, BioWare.

Hmm, is rage any good ?

I've been hearing Rage is a bit of a let down but Borderlands is fun.

Going look into it and check it out.

I could have left the card and quotes out and said basically the same thing: Why are you assuming that it's the same people constantly complaining about everything when it's a million times more likely that different people are complaining about different things?

Why is it funny if someone's complaints lead to changes someone else finds wrong and complains about them? I don't see anything funny about it.

Well, that's the only way the complaints would look even remotely funny, and that was your cue.

RPG mode all the way for me with all my play throughs. If others play it then cool for them but the other two are not for me. ME IMO is an RPG shooter, it's supposed to be both, not one or the other but that's just my view.

You made a claim prove it. If not then stop feeling butt hurt over thinking I'm referring to you as a complainer. Its obvious there are different groups of people who have there problems but their complaints aren't special at all and don't really show any real change in the Bioware fan base.

I'm still wondering why the hell are you attempting to make an argument over nothing because I thought something simple was funny to me.

1) The complaints are only funny if you assume the same people are complaining about the change their previosu complaints invoked, otherwise it's just a natural thing with no funny value.
2) Your cue was that the complaints were funny.

Trust me, it takes a lot more than an internet argument to make me feel butthurt.

You fail to prove your claim that I said that those were the exact same people who complained and you also act like you understand the reason why it was funny to me. Since you are unlikely to listen to me I don't really deem it necessary to explain humor to you.

Oh I'm sure of that because anytime you get close to getting into an argument that would challenge you runaway from it.

Your not close to a effective villain at all since even some internet trolls can stand their ground on a argument and effectively defend their stance more than you can.

Duh. At this place, anybody who doesn't have their mouths almost constantly around BioWare's dick is. You're an elitist, butthurt hater for having an issue with a game of theirs, no matter how logical or reasonable your arguments are.

Actually false. He really isn't anyone significant on here and anything he says that is negative about ME3 he runs away from the argument most of the time. I don't agree with you most of the time but even you are more effective arguer than he is.

Edit: In short he or she just annoying.

Why haven't I been invited?

Is it because my critiques put people to sleep because of how long they are?

It's because of other people's short attention span, isn't it?!

There is only one possible conclusion from 1) and 2). You didn't have to have said it.

Oh I'm sure of that because anytime you get close to getting into an argument that would challenge you runaway from it.

"Challenge me"? "Run away from?". Uhm, no, sorry, won't fly. The only thing I "run ayway from" is the incessant nagging that I should repeat myself for everyone's convenience.

Care to list a few, explain why they're trolls and sho how they held their ground? I mean, you made the claim, you prove it.
