It was beautiful, but felt disconnected from what was happening... probably because the demo isn't finished yet.

Yes but I've already knew that since I watched Moon. Never was worried in a bit about the music in ME3.

The music playing during the shuttle evacuation/destruction just captured the feeling of the scene so well. Clint Mansell is awesome in my book.

I never doubted Mansell, I knew Jack was the better choice.

It played at the end of the Earth level in the leaked beta, as the Normandy was leaving Earth. An incredible soulful piece of music.

Clint Mansell is one of the best film composers out there right now IMHO. Requiem for a Dream wouldn't have been half as good without Mr. Mansell's brilliant score - him working on ME3 was only ever a blessing.

I get a sad hopeful vibe from it.

Mass Effect 3 Beta leak on Xbox 360 ( gone know). Showed a scene of the Earth demo, and a extended scene of the Normandy leaving Earth, with Clint's music in the background.

The only thing I'm even slightly worried about is combat music.

Ok then.. While I'm still not too keen on orchestral music in MAH MASS EFFECT, that music worked quite well with the scene. I was worried that this new guy would continue with the overly bombastic style from ME2, but this was pretty well done.

Seems like he deserves a chance after all..

But still. WHERE'S THE SYNTHS?!

I am.

After listening to the Fountain and that damn Requiem For A Dream soundtrack, I honestly didn't have much hope for this guy. To me, those soundtracks just sounds... boring.

I have to say though, the use of these repetitive piano melodies works very well with the depressing feeling that Bioware (hopefully) will be going for with ME3. I'm still hoping that there will be at least a little bit og synth-stuff in the game, but the music we've heard so far fits the game.

I'll give him a chance, but he better not fail me.
