Vega has some good traps but I still can't come to terms with him replacing a Krogan...

Why do you guys want a Krogan so much?

50% of all Krogan Squadmates have been interesting characters.
100% of all Drell and Salarain Characters have been interesting
100% of All Quarian and Turian Squadmates have been interesting
Apart from Miranda and Shep, all human characters have been dull.

Do the maths.

;)

P.S Take this with a pinch of salt. Actually make that half a kilo.

I can only hope that whoever survives Virmire will decide whether you get Vega or the new female human squaddie.

This would be strange at least - if your VS is pure soldier, then you're getting another soldier, but if that's Sentinel (and squad can be pretty thin on Soldiers at this moment), then you're getting someone else?

Why not? What else makes sense these days?

I don't think Shepard's classes can really apply to squadmates.  It just doesn't mean as much.  We've already heard that Ashley and Vega will have very different focuses in combat.

In ME2, Tali and Mordin are probably both technically Engineers, but they don't have any skills in common and are suited for very different types of enemies.  Jacob and Thane are both combat/biotic (Vanguards), but they're very different too.

In ME1, the classes of squadmates were easier to extrapolate and this actually had some meaning.  In ME2, it was less about the class of the squadmate and more about what enemies they specialized in killing.  I think it will be similar in ME3, but I'm not sure.

I like Vega...but I'll take any Aliens I can get. It's stupid to have as many humans has we do.
