The Dragon Age 2 demo didn't have a character creator, and it played fine for me, even though I didn't like the Hawke beard. It's just a demo, meant to give players a taste of what's to come and experience gameplay before they play, not be the actual gameplay. I play around with the features of every new Shepard, so I don't have one specific 'this is my Shepard' attitude. Sheploo is fine. What's the big deal?

Good thing I use the default male Shepard on all my male playthroughs.

I'll grab that demo as soon as it comes out.

How many people here may forgo playing the demo in January...due to Vanderloo just not being Shep to them?....As far as I'm aware we can't export our Sheps into the Demo?....For those to whom Shep is female only? For those so used to their own Sheps custom faces (male or female), that they just can't imagine running a Shep without that face?

That's silly, just the demo.

It's just a demo with little to no impact on my canon, so...eh.

It it's not my Shepard in the demo, it's some other Shepard. I have no problem with it. It's not as if I have only one myself. The question is will I find the demo interesting? No idea, actually. Most of it I'll have seen before, so there might not be a point in it.

I have no problem with using Sheploo in the demo.

Playing as Sheploo won't break anything for me. It's just a demo.

When I think of Shepard, I think of my favorite manShep and femShep (both customs). But it's no big deal. I'll play the demo and then wait for March 6.

If we won't be able to import our own Shepard, I'll be slightly disappointed.

This is why it's easy to forego. Easier than try to play as someone else for some players (especially those who have only one playthrough). If it's sheploo only, I'd rather watch it on youtube if I feel a curious enough.

Oh bloody hell. It's a demo. It's supposed to give you a taste of what the game's going to play like. Still, to each their own, I guess. It just seems to me that this is a rather trivial reason to deny yourself the demo.

It's called immersion...I would guess especially jarring maybe for a number of die hard femShep players.

I'm guessing you never played ME2 because of the box art.

He is one of my Sheps and I currently use him so not a problem for me :D

I'll probably still give it a go, even if I did have to play as default maleShep or femShep.

I'd say if you paid any attention to either E3 or Comic Con video footage, you have probably seen the demo.

Regarding playing with "your" Shepard, if you can export the slider settings from ME 2, you probably can play the demo with your Shepard.

Part of me hates Sheploo because I think my custom Shepard is better looking, and that I wish I could see him in all the demos/videos instead. But, the other part of me also feels like he's not a bad model for the story protagonist either.

Ultimately, I'm OK with it, and I'll play Sheploo in the demo if I have to. I've never actually done it in either game though.

I'm having 10 wildly different Shepards (6 femSheps/ 4 broSheps), so every Shepard is "Shepard" for me. Gender or looks aren't that important - though I'd like to see how their faces will be imported and what are new possibilities in character creator.

Import feature? Again, only to check outcomes (and see Kaidan) - I will feel immersed with any Shepard.

I never really liked Sheploo. But I can deal with it for the Demo. Not like I'll be using Sheploo for the full game, anyway.

DA2 demo allowed you to play as male or female and I have no doubt ME3 will be any different. Would be nice to see the new Jane. :)

it's a demo, plus I play both Shepard's anyways o I've got no problem with Meer's voice or Vanderloo's face.

It's good then that the demo isn't supposed to immerse you. It's a DEMO.

I would think they are putting a Femshep option in. They've done it with their other demos and they are custom making a female this time around. As long as she's in, I'll play it.

Need we put the definition of what a "demo" is in this thread?

That being said, the DA2 demo had both male and female characters available. I'd expect the same from ME3's.

Tbh, i wasn't going to be playing the single player anyway. I know it sounds silly but i'm looking forward to it so much that i don't want to ruin the start for myself but playing a demo where i can't import my femshep and then have to start all over again when it comes to march.

I'll probs just be playing the co-op instead.

I'm a diehard femshep player, I have 9 Shepards, only one is a guy.

That being said, it's the demo. It's no big deal to this girl right here.

I'll forgo the demo :) I'm too RPG to play someone else's shep :P I want the Full Effect of the first playthrough

this comment is by no means a passive aggressive request for bioware to put an import feature into the demo btw ;) i'm just happy they're providing one for those what want it

that said... i wonder what the possibility is of them providing a demo face importer/generator? similar to DAO. I would love to play round with that some before the game comes out!

Doesn't matter to me in the least. I'm just glad we get a demo.
