It's called immersion...I would guess especially jarring maybe for a number of die hard femShep players.Shepard Lives wrote...
Oh bloody hell. It's a demo. It's supposed to give you a taste of what the game's going to play like. Still, to each their own, I guess. It just seems to me that this is a rather trivial reason to deny yourself the demo.
I'm guessing you never played ME2 because of the box art.

http://social.biowar...3/index/8645984 So why would you miss out on an experience because of the character model. If one cannot separate self from Shepard then it might be a problem. I have six Shepards of various classes andgenders all self-created the game doesn't change by how any of them look.

I'd rather experience the full game when it gets released, while hopefully avoiding major spoilers along the way.

Our stories maybe similar, but through our own imaginations, what we create of our Sheps...motivations, drives. etc....we very much create our own very individual stories out of the whole.InvincibleHero wrote...
Why would that be a problem? It is just silly people preening about that is not my Shepard. ME is a shared experience while we may all have differing Shepard's to a degree we play the same game.

How is it preening to look at Vanderloo's image and just not see Shep?...Not that the Demo is that great a deal in the first place, it's not the game itself, my question was more driven by curiousity than my attachment to my Shep....That said though, ME has been a highly immersive game, I personally have never put as much effort and time into a game or PC as I have with the ME series, yes, Shep has grown on me, I am rather fond of him myself...Cudo's to BW for giving us such an immersive character to mold.
