Recently I like many others noticed my Zotac card GTX 580 AMP crashes in DX 11 mode so I searched and waited for patches. Then I noticed in other DX 11 games such as Crysis 2 I had the same crashes.

Upon visiting the Zotac USA forum which I google 'Zotac GTX 580 DX 11 crashes' I was greeted with an entire list of users having the same problem with DX 11 in ALL games. Here is the link:

There are many more forums with reports of these AMP cards crashing in DX 11.

The CAUSE has been identified as UNDERVOLTAGE and ZOTAC are releasing a BIOS UPDATE IMMINENTLY. I received an email from Zotac USA 2 days that they would be releasing an ISO with the DX 11 BIOS FIX ON THEIR SITE. THE FIX IS READY but I don't know when they will be posting it on their site I imagine in the next few days.

I have already contacted Zotac Australia and been given the fix and put it on a USB stick and will flash it on Monday as if something goes wrong I can courier it immediately.

They told me that the BIOS UPDATE was UNDER WARRANTY so if something goes wrong you will be covered by your warranty and the card can be sent in and fixed or replaced.

This should be made an URGENT STICKY because many users are still blaming Bioware and other developers when it is the card's VOLTAGE is not high enough to run DX 11 games.

I strongly recommend you don't apply voltage changes to your card as you not only will void your warranty but the ZOTAC FIX will most likely be more accurate and better tune your card.


Can someone make this a STICKY PLEASE for all the Zotac users and my SINCEREST apologies to BIOWARE for blaming them for the DX 11 problems. Asus and MSI and EVGA superclocked and overclocked cards also had this problem and bios updates were released so user here of other brands would also have blamed Bioware when the problem was their card manufacturer didn't give enough voltage to their superclocked cards.
