why a race of women?

Because a race of men is biologically impossible, whereas races of women (well, females) already exist. See whiptail lizards, for instance.

Somebody never watched Dragon Ball Z. :P

The true answer is a race of women is hot while a race full of only men would be "gay."

I think it'd might suit a paragon Shep to romance Liara, then not get back with her in ME2, because how much she's changed, and then romance Jack, to help her becoming a better person.

But tastewise, I'm not too fond of Liara because of her voice, it has no emotion at all, Ali Hillis should voice a geth, imo.

Liara is romanceable?

Since the first.

I always choose Ash. Still do, even after the 100th paythrough... Still have her picture aboard the Normandy. Now she has cropped up in the leaked footage, her picture is there to stay. I wonder if she'll see it?

Not sure if serious.

But if you are I'm assuming you've only played Mass Effect 2. Liara is a possible romance option for both Male or Female Shepards in Mass Effect 1. The other possible romance option for Male Shep is Ashley, and the alternative for Fem Shep is Kaidan. Liara is romanceable again in the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC for Sheps that romanced her in the first game.

He was being sarcastic. It was pointing out the fact that he never romances Liara.

Hehe, yeah, I pick her too for all of my playthroughs, never cheated on Ash. I wonder if she'll address that picture when seeing it. At least I'd like to see that.

I always preferred Liara to Ash, but it's only my opinion.

Dunno - I like Ashley's new look. Not more than her old look, but also not less.
Ah nevermind. I simply like her character. And that's more important than the question "open hair" or "hair bun".

I'm on my, probably, 50th playthrough of ME1 (sadly not exaggerrating). I plan to make this character my absolute perfect Paragon character. Just having trouble deciding who I should romance for ME3. Opinions?

Why would you say sadly? I got you beat dood Mass Effect 1 was better than 2 for me Ive played it over a bajillion times, I would be more worried if you didnt play it a lot, I romanced Ashley in every single playthrough my cannon Shep stayed faithfull

I'd like her to notice it also. There is also the mail she sent, saying 'I dont know what the future holds'....That seems like a good thing, right? I trust in Bioware to deliver.

Liara makes a pass at Shep way too fast...second conversation...Tali gets to know Shep first.

Well to be fair there was a romance path for Tali in ME1 the devs just deleted it out.

So it always kinda boggles my mind how some Talimancers feel superiority over the other LI from Liara all the way to Garrus just cuz theirs suposedly "evolved".

I'm not a Tali-mancer (Kaidan all the way. ;P) but I have romanced her in one playthrough, and I have to say out of all the squadmates, hers feels like the most natural, developed relationship in the series.

Tali the most developed romance?
Its like a teenagee first crush. I believe the most developed romances are Jack and Thane.

Against the majority of comments here, I chose Liara on my first (and only of ME1, so sad) playthrough purely because Liara and Asari race in general were much more interesting to me than say, Kaidan, who seemed to be a fairly aggravating character to me personally (as I was play a FemShep). But I'm ranting.

In theory, Ashley would seem to be almost the more renegade or paragade choice while Liara would be the paragon choice; just from comparing the two characters.

Just my two cents.

Create a Shepard for them both. Ashley works well off of Paragons as there is a little bit of push/pull. Not much, but a little. The same is true w/ Liara and Renegades. There is some push/pull, not as much as w/ Ash, but enough to make ME1 interesting. For ME2, you might as well flip a coin.

More like the Mariana Rift. Deepness and drama.

Nevermind.
