Hey i am caugth with isabella not wanting to enter the chantry anything i can do to get past this ?
Please say i don`T have to reload i only have one save and well that means i would have to go back to the start of the game and lost about 5 hours wort of time.
And the autosaves dont help me since mine are from after isabella got to the door.
i really hope this bug wont ruin the game for me cause im not spending anoter 5 hours to get to were i am atm.

Click on the chantry door, not Isabela.

I'm assuming you're referring to Fools Rush In?
There is a bug where if you loot the bodies of the thugs sent to kill her before she tells you to do so, she won't go into the Chantry. There's no way around it except not to finish her quest.
I don't see how the game would have saved before you went in the Chantry, though.

Really ? This game is fairly old now and they haven`t fixed a bug like this ?
Just ruined the game for me and had me waste a large part of my weekend.
Man now i`m just pissed off.

Bugs happen, and this particular bug is entirely avoidable. (Just don't loot the bodies of the enemies until the fight is over.) It's partly your own fault for relying on the autosave.

Yeah stupid of me to assume the game would not be broken particularly so long after release. =_= Wish i didn`T spend my money on this game now feels like a waste.

Didn't your mother ever tell you to save early, save often and use multiple saves? No. Neither did mine, she mostly asks me if DA is similar to farmville, if she asks me anything at all.
Unless you deleted it, left Hightown or turned off auto-save there should be an auto-save upon entering Hightown.
If you have painted yourself into a corner and need to replay from an old save don't forget to turn the difficulty down so you can zip through everything again. Honestly once I know where to go and what to do, it doesn't take me hardly any time to redo parts if the need arises.

I left hightown. I do save often but usually i only use 1 save. And i got to redo everything after getting to the city and thats not going to happen. I don`T usually play a game more then once and i have no interest in playing the same stuff twice in a short time frame. Maybe i will feel like giving it another go in a 6 months to a year.

Don't you have multiple auto saves?
I could of sworn DA2 uses like 2 or 3 stacking auto saves, so you have the latest auto save and then the prior auto save both. Maybe I'm thinking of another game?
I dunno, bummer for you. I always keep multiple saves.

DA2 does keep several auto saves. It doesn't make sense that someone would have to start over just because of this particular quest which is a good 5-10 hours into the game.

I came up against this problem luckly me I had a quick save just before the fight. Been roaming killing off the fake guardsmen.

This is why after I completely finish a playthrough, I have over 900 saves, to make sure that no bugs occur throughout the quests, or if they do, just reload an earlier save and redo that part.
Also, the quicksave feature is an amazing tool, the way I use it is that I will make a quicksave about the halfway mark in a quest so I can get back to where I was in case of another bug.

Not really an option on consoles - they have a limit of 32 saves per character.Linkforlife wrote...
